  1. Has anyone here used anything to take a bit of pressure off your back/neck when shooting prone? Im thinking of something that would look like a wedged yoga mat to lower my feet in relation to my head,
  2. Theres a .408Cheytec on Guntrader, with Dies, cases , bipod etc.. That would keep you going for a while 🙂
  3. I have same, very very good, and really useful when you need to get a load of books to the charity shop after a bit of dostanding.
  4. No axe to grind here, but in a bit of defence of the NRA.. I'm a local, semi retired, and regularly shoot, 900y 1000y and even 1200y and on a number of occasions my range neighbours have asked if my target is working, as theirs isn't, so Ive moved across sent a round down range and proved there target is fine. Of course Im lucky I've got DOPE on every distance in all weathers, but I do question the wisdom of letting guys shoot electronics with their .303 with Iron sights in a stiff cross wind for the first time in years.
  5. I had the same issue with Lapau 300PRC cases.
  6. RS80 if you can find it.. I've tried it with 230 Bergers and from memory I got 2850ish from 82.4g? out of a 32 inch barrel. However, I've had much better luck finding Viht570 so that my current powder of choice.
  7. Some targets here.... https://www.reloading.org.uk/targets.htm
  8. I'd still put my money on a scope issue, just not sure what!
  9. Something is wrong! A 40MOA rail seems a lot, on my 6.5Cm couldn't get a 300Y zero with a 20MOA rail and a Vortex scope, so is the problem you you have wound so far down to get zero, when you wind up the scope the initial clicks arn't doing anything ? You're off the scale so to speak IYSWIM?
  10. I had the same dilemma a few years ago. went for a 6.5 creedmoor, and don't regret my choice, shot it out to 1200 yards at Bisley, however I warn you long range shooting is addictive, i've now also got a 300PRC for 1200Y+ and I really do fancy a 375 Cheytac as well 🙂
  11. Don't worry about Bisley HME testing.. only issue is when there is a queue, card is free, on a quiet day (this friday I hope) takes about 5 mins and warms the barrel up.
  12. Might be a bit late to the party but if there is any RS62 left, I'll have it, (and can collect.)
  13. Small world, I'm also in Reigate. For Clays you've got Headley Horne or Newdigate, Rifles: Small Bore at Bookham, (Leatherhead) Centerfire at Dorking. Happy to chew the fat over a beer?
  14. >>>b) Email is convenient for the recipient: he can answer at his leisure, To be fair that's exactly what they did:-) Sorry!
  15. There are some Practical Shotgun comps coming up at Bisley.. Give James Harris @ the NRA a ring if you are interested..
  16. I've got a Gen 6, great piece of kit and a real time saver, Dave is right about the static though. I've found an anti static wrist band, fitted on the powder hopper and clipped to earth helps a great deal.
  17. Ive got a Bernard action, really easy to remove the firing pin , which makes headspace setting a breeze.
  18. Thanks, I'm so used to using Quickload, I didn't think to check manufacturer's site so apologies.
  19. Hi all, Currently Im shooting 6.5CM with 42g RS62 with 140g Nosler RDF in Peterson brass. Ive Shot this out to 1200m with good results and according to Sterlok Ive got a bullet speed of 2650f/s. Now I want to keep my dwindling stock of RS62 for the long range stuff and make up a "plinking" round for the sub 900y stuff. I've got a couple of KG of N160 i use with my K31 so i'd like to use this, I also have quickload, but my reloading PC is screwed, ( Im a MAC man) so Id be grateful if some one could do me a massive favour and let me know what weight of N160 is suggested to match Rs62, ( I'll obviously start low and work up it) cheers Martin
