  1. Yes i've seen it. It looks a bit tatty though.
  2. Hmm. I did that once before and got away with it that time. The chances of getting away with it again are slim i reckon 😒
  3. So they've changed the bedding to V-block? That's really interesting. I had no idea they had done that. It's surprising they made no fanfare of it.
  4. Now that sounds nice. Maybe i'll have to have one made for me. How i'll keep that from her indoors is another matter.
  5. I expect this has been said before but I have an itch which requires scratching. The itch in question being a rifle in 17 Remington Fireball. The problem being i can't find one anywhere. There are a couple Remington 700's around but i'd rather not go there.
  6. Save your money and get a CZ 527. They make a varmint MTR for .223. Excellent value for money.
  7. I currently have someone lined up for the whole package but if that falls through then i'll let you know.
  8. Sporting Services Nimrod Rifle in .260 Remington. Known in Germany as the AS.H Walküre. This is a very reluctant sale but as i use it so infrequently, i thought it best to give someone else the opportunity of owning this incredible rifle; plus, of course, it’s taking up gunsafe room. The action is made in Bavaria, Germany by AS.H (Andreas Schuler). It is made from tool steel that has a tensile strength of 1200N/mm2 and is then gas nitride finished with a phosphate and polyurethane coating. The action wears a one-piece Picatinny rail without MOA bias. The bolt is a three lug bolt into lock ring, 60 degree bolt lift 7-inch long with a solid 0.84” O/D, with nine, radial flutes to reduce bearing surface. These are shallow and blacked inside to contrast with the polished bolt body. The barrel is a stainless steel 26” Lothar Walther match quality barrel, matt black painted (by manufacturer) and threaded M18x1.5 mm, (standard AI thread) 1 in 8” twist. This rifle is not ammunition fussy but it loves 139gr Scenars and 130gr TMKs’. It also shoots better than I ever could. Round count, approx. 300. The trigger is a precision Shilen, with a precise single stage operation. AT AICS Thumbhole stock, non folder. 5 round AICS magazine. The scope is an unmarked Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56 Illuminated FFP EBR-2C MOA Rifle Scope with box and documentation. Scope mounts are Tier-One monomounts – 12 screws, 0 MOA. Bipod is a Phoenix/Fortmeier – Spigot type for AI stock. I could also throw in a Forster resizing die and a Forster micrometre seating die. I would rather not split, I would prefer it to go as a package as I wish to move on to another type of shooting. I live just down the road from Bisley for those genuinely interested in having a look. £2600 ovno Advertised elsewhere.
  9. Likewise for me. I use 130gn TMK in my .260 with Forster benchrest dies. They seat perfectly for me with no marks or deformities.
  10. Spud does them. I'm not sure on pin length as the drop down box labelled "Pin Gauge Selection" actually shows package size in weight. Click here.
  11. I'll have to try that trick with mine. Maybe it grips better on grass?

    Bipod

+1 for the Fortmeier/Phoenix bipod. Rock solid and very well constructed.
  14. All i can say is my Tier One Picatinny mono mount 34mm dia was over £250 a few years ago. They are about as good as it gets though.
  15. In theory more expensive rings should be made of better materials and therefor less prone to rusting. They would be manufactured to closer tolerances so should line up better and prevent the need for honing. Also more expensive brands will have a nice brand name etched into the surface 😊
  16. I have the Extreme Rebel 17. Not cheap but well worth it.
  17. One small tin of Imperial Sizing Wax lasts for a hell of a long time.
  18. I believe he is referring to the media, not the empty cases.
  19. Are you sure the moderator thread is correct? They are usually cut 18x1.5mm.
