  1. I would agree. Even for the 130gr most manufacturers recommend a twist of 1-8.5. I guess the reason is that a faster twist would compromise velocity with 140gr, particularly for long range.
  2. Your velocities seem a tad low to me. I achieve just a little below QL predictions with RS62 in my 260. Of course if you really want speed, RS60 is the way to go. Burns hot though.
  3. On the contrary, i consider the 139gr Scenar / RS62 combination rather a good one. I works well for me so far at any rate. Bare in mind that Laurie stated his pressure signs were probably due to a shot out barrel / copper fouling.
  4. If it's any help, i have just started using 139gr Scenars in my 260. I started with 39 grains of RS62 and have worked up to 40.2 at 2650 fps through the chrono with no pressure signs. I will probably not go for a charge far beyond 41gr as i believe the any gains would be minimal and i'm pretty much in the node anyway. Of course, results with your rifle may be different.
  5. Looks impressive Mark. Coming along very nicely.
  6. I can't reach it from my end either.
  7. .223 for me. I would probably prefer 22-250 but i wouldn't be able to use it at Bisley. .260 Rem or any of the 6.5's would be handy for both fox and deer.
