  1. Just sparked on your issue. Give me 5 mins.
  2. Mark, you'll have to use 'more reply options,' rather than quick reply, to see the button
  3. A bit of a test. I think everyone should now be able to post pics from their computer directly into posts using the 'attach files' and 'choose files' buttons below followed by 'add to post' Example:
  4. Can't help on best prices I'm afraid; but you want impregnated gauze NOT granules Any of the quikclot/celox/hemcon gauzes. One eg that doesn't look too silly if you team up with someone: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Set-5x-2020-Quikclot-Combat-Gauze-Exp-2-2020-IFAK-Trauma-Medic-Supply-/400976444061?hash=item5d5c0efa9d
  5. Plenty of people with a wild sense of humour on here; fortunately most realise that -online- there's a very fine line between being 'internet witty' and simply coming across as an 'internet qunt' - please excuse my French
  6. Been sent this by a pal who's spent a lot of time looking for the best 7.62 blank for stalking use - both in terms of accuracy and terminal ballistics. He settled on RG. He's sent me a pic of a buck taken shortly after a nice stalk and high heart shot at 75m with RG 7.62 blank:
  7. I realise it will vary with target material, but what sort of target life are you getting with silent blank?
  8. The old favourite. Good to see people still getting great results with it.
  9. Nothing field-conclusive yet. However, as a start point, ballistic gel gave us this: 17 HMR blank top. RG blank bottom. I think you'd have to draw your own conclusions: Very good point.
  10. Aaaagh! 1000 apologies, I posted the target upside down. Corrected here:
  11. Some of you may not have caught it, but last week we had to clip a thread relating to blank, that got a little bit out of hand. But it set some of us wondering: Which is the best across-the-course blank? Well, to hand we had some RG, some IMI and some DAG - all 5.56mm. Initial results are here (100m, overcast, blustery fishtailing wind), IMI top left, RG centre, DAG bottom left: We'd be very interested to learn what sort of results others are getting with blank.
  12. Yup, the 22 AR in the pic - built by Bradders.
  13. Smashed my shoulder back in Jan; just getting enough movement back to have a plink. 50yds, bipod no back rest, strong gusty wind. Left to right, 10 rds each: sk standard plus, winchester subsonic, rem subsonic
  14. From which supplier - the ebay chap in J0N's post?
  15. Then I really recommend you try the SK standard plus before you try Tenex - it's quality stuff (made by Lapua) and significantly cheaper than tenex.
  16. 'SK standard plus' is stunningly accurate, subsonic and solid (ie not HP).
  17. Before I raise this with the software people, please would you confirm that your tickboxes are set like this:
  18. I'm starting to think that bulk white rice stored in a freezer maybe the only cost effective way of having sufficient calories stored away.
  19. Thanks for the info ! £240 from Germany, 40,800calories at £240 = 170kCal per £1 -Can't find similar info for mountain house to compare it to (www.mountainhouse.eu.)? (also fairly depressing to note that 40,800 is only 20 days for 1 person at 2000 calories per day........so, a four day supply for a family of 5; or 8 days on half rations )
  20. ...for a family of 5, it's only one meal a day each ..for 36 days. I'm sure someone on here mentioned buying freeze-dried food from the States via Amazon? Spartan, was it you? If so, please would you remind us?
