as a club gun we bought a howa in 6.5 creedmore with a heavy 26inch barel a dpt moderator a atlas style bipod and the big hawke eld scope all in under 2 grand . put in a grs stock it would be adjustable and good looking Ammo bought at Bisley S&B 140grain at £19 a box ( nay have been 17) and it was in the bull at 1200 last sat in the rain .

Funny enough i asked a couple of people about screwcuttin my old target rifle (22) and all three said they would but it may well shoot badly afterwards .. so it hasnt got a mod on it ...

cheers im using mine for gun parts with parafin seems to work well (especially on seized up moderators ) with no damage to plastic ally etc but thinking of getting a clean one for cases or as a clean parts cleaner (if you get my drift)

If you either use a flat ply top and srew and glue a 4x2 on to it (through the cetre of the short sides) you can clamp it securely into a black and decker workmate .. Similar thing with these wooden press holders .

use a left handed drill to drill the hole they sometimes uncrew the thing while drilling

it screws on the muzzle brake not directly on the barrel ..

Tell your daughter and wife the equipment is going up in price all the time so its a good investment for them when your gone .....

i must admit im just taking the expensive plunge but it looks like its almost another hobby of its own ....

i use the s&b 6.5 creedmore stuff at Bisley £17.00 for 20 and its ok out to 800
