  1. I started with smallbore type mat but found it too thick and soft for grass, so I bought an AIM mat. This was OK, but too bulky, so I sold it and now use these:

I've found them to be brilliant. The butt bag stays exactly where it is, the damp doesn't come through and it's compact when rolled up.

  2. One guy who used to mark for us reckoned on using gallon plastic containers of water for counterweights................

The leccy technology is proven, and properly set up with fresh or repaired screens, they're great, so maybe it's the ongoing maintenance schedule that needs some attention................

  3. I think consistency is the name of the game...........I've heard of american shooters who use a very loose neck, load long, and let the lands seat the bullet.

I plan to try that in the not too distant. It should eliminate variations in neck tension. It'll also need a bit of load dev............

  4. Bit of carbon in the neck helps the bullet to slip out easily..............if I  clean my cases, I lube the inside of the necks with Lee die lube.

Probably a waste of time, like cleaning the cases in the first place, but it makes me feel good.........😊
