bradders
I use it all the time in .223, as do quite a few others now. Very happy with its performance
Webby
use it to great effect in .223 and .308 for UK FTR.
Laurie
Think of it as having very close applications to H. VarGet. So far, where that powder was a good choice, I've found RS52 to be equally so. I've used it regularly in 223 (heavy bullets, 77-90gn) and 308 (168-185) with excellent results and will try it in 6BR in the new year when I expect it to work equally well with 105-108s. Re-Pete
We use RS52 in 308 (155 Scenars), 223 (80 SMK's), and 6BR (105 Scenar "L"'s). Haven't found anything that comes anywhere close in these calibres. RS60 just pips it in my 6.5 x 47 (136 Scenar "L"'s), however..............BTW, these are all 30" barrels Re-Pete
henryo
Probably one of the best choices in a .223 with heavy bullets (69gr and up) If you're shooting 50 - 55gr RS40 has a more optimal burn rate and is again excellent
VarmLR
As above....RS powders are great. I use RS50 rather than 52 as it won't eat the barrel as quickly being single base, and velocities seem to be much improved over N140 which I was previously using with 223 bullets above 60-gr weights. furrybean
Has anyone used RS52 with .308 heavies?
VarmLR
I've used RS50 with 175's and that is a great match and would be fine with up to 190s. RS52 will give better velocities and is often used with anything from 150gr through to 190s but again, at the cost of reduced barrel life.
