skull hooker
These are so good they rarely come up for sale. I tried to get one in 223 but couldn't find one anywhere. No one wants to sell them
baldie
A friend picked up an absolute mint walnut/blued .243 recently for £375. I didn,t think it had been fired. They weren't a grand new.

stillair1
I paid £600 for a very low round count vls .223 a few years ago now when they were still in production.
baldie
£600 is a very fair price for one in good condition. They are a nice rifle. They are not encrusted with diamonds however. Gun trader is the place to keep an eye on. The trade dispose of this through the site.
Ronin
Second hand Sako 75 350 - 450 for rifle alone Thats what you'd get from a dealer. Maybe 550 sold privately
dorg
I think you you guys are being a bit tight, I buy an awful lot of Sako 75s, this is the most popular of them for fox shooters, and with a PES in mint condition which new would have been one of the most exspensive moderators at the time. I think the rifle in the condition as described is worth £750 all day long, the mod £120 and if it has a set of stainless rings another £75. I would offer him £850 all in and see where it goes. Wood, blued hunters are worth considerably less maybe up to a third less. Dealers will always give small amounts for secondhand rifle for the usual reasons. Just think what a stainless action on its own makes when they come up for sale. Any good condition 75 for £375 is a bargain.
1sakonut
If you can find a sako 75 number 111 action stainless. Laminate for sale with such a low shoot buy it , any thing under £
Deeredriver
I paid £1000 for my Stainless Laminate Varmint around 13 years ago new. In perfect condition I would say it is worth £600-750 now. Great rifles.
22/250 foxer
tough one. people want the same dosh they where new. but at the same time you look at the new price of the sako 85 and the 75 looks a bargain
Toby
They are worth what people are willing to pay for them. Over here a well kept example goes from 6000- 12 000 n. Kr depending on model. I have 2, both in McMillans that wont be sold. A lot of people over here also prefer them to the 85.

Treedave
Sold my 75 in 243 about 12 months ago. Stainless and synthetic, with harris copy bipod, atec mod, optiloc rings and 8x56 swaro scope - went for £1200 after about 3 wks on guntrader. It was used but not abused and I had it 2nd hand. I've no doubt the dealer rates are around £600, but if you want to get it's "value" you don't sell to a friend at "mates rates" or a dealer. If you and the guy selling can find a number between what he wants and what you're willing to give, neither of you'll be happy with it but it'll be about the right number! FYI- I've kept the sako 75 in 308 and will re-barrel and restock it till I can't shoot anymore, then it's going to my son if he's into shooting. gbal
Whatever specific rifles are worth-or sell for-Simon PPC implies a good point-all Sakos are not equal. Some models and particularly chamberings may have a premium for some buyers,as fewer were produced, and some are no longer available,and/or are alternatives are not commonplace. How many 22PPC contrasted with 243 have you sen lately? Demand of course, may not be equal either....and may counterbalance..as always -think A1 carbine in .17-a specialist niche indeed (no mod). gbal
