dorg
This is an example of our new high gloss finish. We are also thinking of adding this tactical style stock to our range for Barnard rifles, let us know what you think. Joe West Riflestocks

Tuck
Very nice Simon are you offering stocks fully finished? As I always thought that your stocks required finishing by the end user?

Elwood
I like the attention to detail on the thumb wheels and the high gloss finish works well.

Akeld
It looks an understated gloss (which I like) rather than a garish in your face gloss. I like that palm shelf as well, nice work
Scotch_egg
Stunning. I quite fancy one of these now.
The Gun Pimp
A couple of years ago we were buying stocks from the US, waiting months and paying a fortune for the privilege. We are exceedingly fortunate to now have such a superb British made product - well done Dorg. The last Joe West stock I worked on had just about the best finish I've ever seen on a laminate stock - and that was before lacquering!

matchking
What sort of money for the gloss finish? Rgds Sean
dorg
Sean We can lacquer a stock to this level for £150 plus postage, there is alot of work to get this build and it would need to be added to a batch going through the sprayshop, we cannot spray stocks one at a time cost effectively. Also we are now making our laminate, watch this space for colours. Simon
dorg
What we are trying to produce is firstly, a range of stocks for the Barnard P action, these will come with a bedding block glued in, trigger guard and action bolts, fully finished, so just bolt the action and away you go. We are thinking the lowrider stocks and this tactical stock with an adjustable cheekpiece and decelarator pad in a range of colours. Prices we are thinking about £675 ish. Following that a range of fully finished tactical thumbhole stocks right and left handed for most popular actions, these are aimed to compete with the GRS stuff only better and cheaper. We will still make all the current stocks semi or non inletted for all other actions either fully finished or just sealed against oil, when these have been bedded, they can be returned for us to laquering as part of the package. We are trying to make our stocks as easy as possible to use at a sensible price. If you have any ideas to this end please let us know . Simon Change my order to one of these please joe!!! Sweet... Please will you ring Joe about this.
