  1. I have a photo somewhere, but for the life of me can’t find it. When I was seriously shooting Highpower and 80 SMKs and JLKs in my AR, and I was a lot keener then, I used to do all this, and I remember starting with an OAL of around 2.450” and ending up at nearly 2.550” give or take I was using Redding bushing dies with quite a constriction on the neck, and you could clearly see the base of the bullet half way up the neck, such was the wear I took a photo of one of the rounds, but it seems to have long since disappeared
  2. All well and good, but you have to keep doing it as the throat erodes, and the more it erodes....the more you have to do it But chasing the throat is something never talked about here, perhaps because guns are moved on before they wear out and the next fashionable fad gains albeit temporary popularity
  3. I’m beyond caring, it was a simple question that got the simple answer it deserved, now it’s turning into multiple pages of blather It’s a scope rail, just glue the bloody thing on and move on Jesus!!!!!!
  4. Yep Araldite holds together the Sydney Opera House, Coventry Cathedral, the Lamborghini Aventador, the Audi R8.....and also the deHavilland Mosquito One of the best composites ever created
  5. This is it folks, the very last one. There will be no more. I built my first one in about 2001, with parts from my very good friend Derrick Martin from Accuracy Speaks, and back then reliability was a challenge to say the least, all due to the crappy Ceiner steel mags available at the time When Black Dog and then CMMG started making quality mags and also better bolts, the things actually became viable, and I held off for quite some time before going into full production, but that was always a challenge in its own right with parts supply being erratic I don't know how many I've made, but it's quite a few, and my goal was aways to make the best .22 AR available, I think I achieved that Thanks for your support and having faith in me and the product, and I hope you continue to have many years of enjoyment from them
  6. Devcon is all well and good, but unless you use a lot of it, ie regular bedding jobs, you’re unlikely to have a pot of it lying around, and at £30 a kit then that’s an expensive way to get just the tiny amount you need to bed a scope rail Araldite works, as will the dreaded JB Weld, but any 2 part adhesive will do the job
  7. Mine was fair, but you will always get those dissatisfied with anything and everything
  8. It's the way it is.....just like suggesting converting a blow back 9mm to straight pull with no idea of how many major components need changing...or if it's even doable, which it isn't, unless you want to convert a £2000 rifle into a £1500 one 🤣
  9. Once again.....speak to your Licensing Dept, but do surrender it when you leave, I recently had a situation where I bought some rifles off an old friend who moved to Thailand, 3 years later he hadn't told them and it only came to light when someone informed their Dept they'd bought one of the guns, but the Police thought the previous owner was still the owner. We had a chat and they cancelled his FAC there and then, but it was unnecessary aggro
  10. As nothing has been announced yet, I would wait as long as possible then do the thing no one ever does.....speak to your licensing Dept and get their advice on how to proceed, or write a letter to the Home Office, you'll find them very helpful
  11. There is so much of that on here, but if you dare to point it out then you are deemed to be a nasty, wicked, bully boy BTW it’s grammar!
  12. Sako used to make a 90gn FMJ

  14. Once again, he’s in Poland! 🤔
  15. https://www.tacticalscope.co.uk/non-uk-scope-export-orders-18-w.asp If it's over 10X, it's on the Military List and you require an export license
  16. Fake news as usual Swarovski01 The pic above shows the crap left behind by the 420 pro-cannabis protestors, it was cleaned up by the Eco Warriors
  17. Glad I played a part, albeit a very small one, in your excellent result 🙂 Well done Lucas
