Good points about none EU shooters already using Bisley. I suppose the EU shooters will be on the same footing as the US and other countries after brexit. Not ever tried to import a firearm is it a lot of paperwork?

No! Not a political thread! When brexit eventually happens, how will it affect shooters coming from the EU? I notice many EU number plates about Bisley, and not just around big competitions like the Imperial. As a marker I have regular shooters from the EU. Will they stop coming?

I'd like to try this! From what I have read you only need permission if it's private water. Most fishermen will rip your arm off if you offered to catch signal crayfish

The good markers actually carry a brick or two to counter weight the target mechanism. Only yesterday I had an email from a shooter who was disappointed with the leccy targets. They are in no way as good as they should be.

Bisley shoot McQueen's year round, you just book the castle when you book a target. I marked McQueen's for the Imperial this year. Sorry old thread I know!

I know this is an old thread, but I have to comment. I'm an NRA trained marker and recently I started private marking. When shooters complain about the quality of the NRA markers, I have to say we're not all the same! There's a fair few of us that aren't stroppy disinterested teenagers. Unfortunately we are a minority. Many of the mature ones won't work weekends with the kids. I worked the Imperial this year. The kids were a nightmare. Often staff were reduced to searching tents on the markers camp site when they didn't turnup. It's like this. You pay for a service. If you aren't happy complain. You can book a private marker, of which I am one. Charges are slightly higher but you know what you are getting. Any questions?

Hello! Just joined up and had a quick read of this thread. I was looking for a hello section but every place different. Anyway, I work at Bisley as a butt marker and recently started private marking. Gonna have a look at the rest of the forum now!
