  1. Hi all, it's been a long time since I've posted as I've moved counties, lost my perms since moving and had a been on a bit of a downer due to not being able to shoot because of this covid malarkey. I rejoined my previous club and got out for the first time yesterday and spent a few hours getting back in the swing of things with a couple of my rimfire and my benchrest rig, big smiles came back and it was nice to see some old faces. Before the lockdown I was going to join Offas Dyke as that was/is the nearest range that has long distance available but was told that all manner of things have happened there over the past few months and that it looks unlikely that anything will get sorted out anytime soon? So my question is, does anyone know any LR ranges not too far from Warwickshire and what is the likelihood of OD getting sorted anytime soon? Pre lock down I did send in an enquiry to join and got a bit of a snotty email back which wasn't particularly helpful and kind of pissed me off due to its tone. Any help would be greatful.
  2. Sunday night bump for a great scope with Japanese glass, matching turret and ret, 308 rated, doesn't white out and tracks very well.
  3. 504, I think that they're pretty much the same, only the FT drops down to 9m vs the LR that drops to 10m.
  4. 1984 Anschutz 1813 Supermatch 22RF Reblacked metalwork sitting in a one off Colin Rose stock. She shoots well for an old girl.
  5. I bought this new from optics warehouse a couple of years ago to sit on my Anschutz 22RF bench rifle, I replaced it with a Leupold 45 and was going to use the Falcon on another rig but lockdown came and scuppered those plans. It's been sat in the box for over a year now and the other rifle is way on the back burner. This really is an excellent piece of glass for the money, excellent reviews and used in various disciplines. The scope is as new and comes with box, papers and I may have the receipt somewhere?Price is £565 including secure post.
  6. Excellent scope for the money, used a couple in the past, one on a sub 12 and one on my rimmie, absolutely spot on.
  7. Been following him for ages... Brazil seems nice 😁
  8. Can you clear up the S3 6-24x50, you state its NOT the bronze turret model but the photo shows bronze lettering on that model scope which is the same as my 8-32 S3.
  9. I have a tier one 0 MOA saddle and a PST GEN2 5-25x50 and this is the clearance I'm getting, if I opted for the 20 moa I'd be touching the rail 😳
  10. With the rifle having a full length rail running along the top of it, what scope/mounts combo have you gone for to clear the picatinny rail and have you had any issue with running out of elevation travel (scope dependant)? Any photos for visual reference would be great too.
  11. Hello Terry, thanks for your reply. Yes I should have stated that, currently I'm looking for off the shelf as opposed to hand loading.
  12. I've had my Tikka Tac A1 (with 20" barrel) for a short while and now things have finally settled I'm going to get to use it. I bought it for target shooting and not hunting. My question is, which ammo would you folks recommend? Regards.
  13. I was surprised that with above average ammo the results were what they were, certainly not complaining and I'm not into competition shooting as that'll get silly expensive, especially with the cost of ammo. The SK I pay between £120 to £140 for a thousand, and the odd flyer doesn't bother me too much.
  14. Forgot to add, there's a brand new wide padded bag that goes with the above.
  15. 1230mm tall (to the underside of the ammo cabinet) 270mm wide 170mm deep I've had 2 scoped rifles and a 12G in there no problem
  16. Bought new last year, in excellent condition, now spare due to using a larger cabinet. 2 x sets of keys £80 Pick up from Warwick. Thanks.
