  1. Thanks for the replies, I've tried what was suggested when I first got the spigot. These are the results, thought I'd best upload some photos at its easier than typing an explanation. As you can see, once the lever is removed it still leaves the adjuster sitting proud, once that is removed you can't tighten the bipod to the spigot, I'm guessing I can replace the adjuster drum /bolt with a standard socket cap head and tighten it then attach it to the rail but I'll be missing the quick release adjustment?
  2. I bought this new and unused Fortmeier bipod last year to go onto my Tikka Tac A1, I was told by the owner that all I needed was to buy a spigot and it would mount at the 6 or 12 o'clock position, I went ahead and bought the spigot and looking at it, I'm guessing that it'll be near on impossible to make it fit at the 12 o'clock position which is what I was hoping for. Has anyone got any ideas to make it mount at the 12 o'clock position or will it be a case of having to buy a new bridge? Thanks in advance.
  3. Cz 455 or even better the 457 (MTR), have both along with an Annie Supermatch 👍
  4. I'll be moving over to Bidford on Avon in the very near future and was hoping someone may know of a rifle club not too far away that allows CF? I've had a quick look on Google and a few clay grounds pop up on the map as does Wedgnock (already a member here) but nothing else that I can see? Thanks in advance 👍
  5. Fancy swapping the bridge for a mint 6 o clock position one?
  6. I got a spring for my 457 last week from this chap. Yo Dave springs are used a lot on CZ rimmie's and they work great. Turnaround time was 2 weeks via that online flea market.
  7. This was mentioned to me in the past hour, I wondered why it was so difficult to locate the category in Leisure & Hobbies when I looked the other week, I found it but now this. I see it as part blessing as a few people on another forum I used were ripped off for a good few quid, also the amount of fake ads and seriously over prices rifles was incredible. There are a few groups on MeWe that are worth joining if you want to buy and sell 👍
  8. Great scope, I must have let mine go for too low a price I'm guessing 🙁
  9. Thanks for the replies folks. I'm thinking about reloading not as a cost saving exercise but more of the fact that for me it's another thing to learn and have more shooting related knowledge, added to this I'm slowly going down the target shooting route and I've been told that if you get your loads right then your consistency will improve as allegedly you're removing a possible negative variable?
  10. Hi all, I've been chatting to a few different folk over the past few months regarding hand loading and had a view of some clips on YouTube to get an idea of the process. After doing so it sparked an interest and I think it's something that I think I would like to have a go at. My question is, if I do go down the route of hand loading, what equipment is a must and are there any brands to avoid etc? I will be reloading 223 and at some point possibly 308. Any help would be much appreciated.
  11. Thanks for that and reinstalling a bit more faith in me Pops 👍
  12. Hello SMLE, When I moved over to Warwick a handful of months ago I joined Wedgnnock as it's a stones throw from me, great club but as you probably know it's only passed for a handful of calibres and when I bought the 308 I did so after talking to a few members that also shoot at OD. At that time I wasn't aware of the issues that have been brought to light on this forum along with chats I've had with current members and I hope I don't find myself in a position where the next club that allows for a 308 to be shot at distance is too far away? As I've already mentioned and don't mind admitting, I'm very new to all of this so any positive advice I will take on board happily 👍
  13. I'm in a similar situation. I was going to join Offas Dyke a couple of months ago when I got my first 308 (only calibre on my ticket that isn't passed on the land I shoot) and it was a bit of a pain in the backside. It took a few emails to one of the guys that deals with membership for any reply and when it eventually turned up it was very abrupt which put me on my back foot, a couple of other members I know have also stated that this chap can be a bit abrupt and standoffish? I had to get a sponsor according to the application form but luckily for me my local club has a few shooters that are OD members so I got the signature. I then read a couple of posts regarding the hassle of last minute cancellations at Kingsbury and some calibres being dropped (not sure if the latter is actually in effect as yet?), so with this in mind I've held off joining. I've read a few more issues regarding the unreliability of the ground due to one thing or another and now I don't know if it's actually going to be financially viable to join the club, it's a shame as it's only 30 minutes away.
