  1. The heat effects the velocity which in turn effects the tune of the load not the heat directly on the barrel. Ive had a Bartlein medium palma that would start to climb as it warmed up. It was a slow process during a string and could be kept in check but accuracy remained okay.
  2. I’d add that a piece of brass that’s been sized twice will be slightly different to a piece of brass sized in one operation so confirm with another case. minimal difference really but when you’re talking such small sizing amounts ie 1 or 2 thou, it does matter.
  3. PGB Are you thinking that variations in seating depth could contribute to varying energy of ignition, or purely the extra distance needed for the firing pin to travel?
  4. You missed x40 My ret subtends at that mag so I use it at that
  5. Redding Type S neck die and Redding body die, both .243 £60 posted
  6. 6/6.5x47 Wilson neck die and Redding 6x47 body die £60 posted for both
  7. A lot of custom second hand rifles are available at approx 1500-1650 range that are well worth that, costing much much more to buy new a sightron 8-32 would take up the remainder giving a world class setup and practise while you kill that barrel. Once the barrel is shot out, rebarrel in exactly what they want and not loose any money
  8. 308! At 600 you won’t have to load it very hot so barrel life will be great. A good .308 will hold much less than moa at 600 yards
  9. I sold an F Class rifle for about the same cost of the bedding job! Unfortunately its a buyers market and needs to be priced accordingly
  10. For sale, with the 3D printed knobs and pins etc 230V I paid £375 a few years ago £275 collected, I’m at Bisley every now and again.
  11. Yep I use them, for F Class too. Very good mounts and I’ve had about 1000 rounds using it. One of the claws cracked but it was replaced the next day. Very good visibility of turret which is why I bought them
  12. For f class there is a particle size limit and it must be impressionable by your finger
  13. For €3300 I’d get a British rifle maker to make one. I’d get a longer barrel than 24” too
  14. Strange. It’s good Purdey are using Sassen though!
  15. Really? My smith says that the Sassen machines every bit as well as a Bartlein and the bore was more concentric.
