activeviii
I didnt like the plain black of the Ruger Precision Rifle so adjusted is with the cerakote. I like it. even if it has taken a bit of work to get the Bronze to the right shade. Now im just trying to break the barrel in and get the n150 working with 140gr ELD-M, im getting there but only down to 20mm 4 shot group at 200 meters on the open range today. That £40 now is going on powder so it has to wait until either you have a sale and post to me for £40 or until I can learn to play guitar and start busking. Anyone have a guitar? Haha Wod look nice with Ergo tactical deluxe grip :-)

Brillo
I didn't even to think to try N150. I've found RS 60 (RL 17) and H4350 works best in mine.
gunner
gunner are you also a male escort as you were mentoring the rifle does look good though I could show u the ropes lol . Yes need to try 4350 , in it as most people say thats the powder , once phils got his new toy grouping nicely ( wtih my help ) were planning to do our first mile long gong , thats going to be fun , is a 300mm gong a little bit optarmistic ? Weel warm up at 1k first - may have to walk it in a little ...
Wazzer
I got good groups with Reloader 15, best being 0.122"
Andrew
well, it dosent like N150 powder thats for sure. just waiting for gunner to go get some H4350 from dauntsey guns fr me lol. Whilst your their old bean.... Yes Sir. H-4350. It's what the cartridge was designed to burn. The smallest group I have seen fired at 1000 yards across rugged terrain was using the CM and the load listed on the Hornady box. When my 6.5 arrives it will be the load I use.~Andrew
activeviii
Out of interest what is a good realistic grouping at 200 meters. Gunner is showing off with his 6br and 7mm groups but I'm a mere mortal so don't know what I can exspect with a factory rifle like the ruger
Andrew
At 200 yards I have repeatedly witnessed sub -quarter MOA from my friends 6.5 RPR. A .203" was the smallest 5-shot group I've seen at 200 from his rifle. This is not with A-Max, however. Sierra MK's. My 308 will sometimes place 10 shots inside a 1-inch circle at the same distance. If I do my part, that is...~Andrew
activeviii
i tried a box of factory amax today. 2" at 200. well thats pants lol. i have got down to .45 at the moment. only reason its all H4350 is because they all love the Hodgdons over the pond. just been doing quickload run downs and it looks like h414 might be a touch better be R17 might be a little better still so i will look into that one a little more if i cant use the N150. we, gunner and i, today did more testing and i think a change of bullets first and the match kings might just be what i will try first so thanks for that. atb Phil
Andrew
Well.....yes, we love Hodgdons. We might swoon for Vhit powders if they weren't 30% more money than Hodgdon and in limited availability / variety at the few shops that carry them.~Andrew.
