Ronin
Thank you - im sorted Phil, what is the shorter barrel (308 or other?)
pwinnall
Hello Andy, I was thinking of a shorter .308 barrel. But I loved the stalk this morning. I tried standing, off hand but the rifle is just too heavy. I bought the rifle at a good price, so I’m not making anything from the sale. Thanks Phil

Ronin
Having stalked with the CTR I have to say the SSG is more balanced with shorter barrel The SSG has far superior trigger ,,, Anyway good luck with the sale

I thought 18” Thanks Phil
simgre
This is seriously cheap for a seriously good rifle! I might be interested in the barrel adapter if the buyer of the rifle doesn't want it.

Just need a rifle suitable for woodland stalking. sorry, the adaptor is sold but PM me and I will tell you where to get one from 😊

I thought 18” Thanks Phil Mine (SSG 3000) has a slightly longer barrel in current guise which is proving to be exceptionally accurate - sub half inch at 200 yds (witnessed) with Bartlein and a barrel extension from the same source as the one in your advert Ill be putting a thread up about it shortly To be honest I’m surprised your parting with yours Phil I wouldn’t see the T3 as an alternative to the SSG - which is in my opinion far better and designed from ground up to be a do all
Scotch_egg
I’ve been talking with Ronin and I’ve got to resist this rifle. chop the barrel to 16-18” and it will feel like a different rifle. I’ve been running an 18” .308 Blaser for a few years and have just swapped to a different rifle with a 16” .308 barrel. The handling and balance of such short barrels is excellent. I have no issues taking shots to 300m with it.

I will get out the hacksaw later 😉
