andybrock
Anyone got any suggestions for good waterproof trousers? I don’t mean over trousers just a pair that can be worn for shooting, walking or working in and preferably uninsulated (I like to be overly warm) Cheers
Catch-22
I think there’s always a balance. Too waterproof and they don’t breathe, making ones balls clammy 😭 You don’t say which season you have a preference to wear them in, but I’d have a look at the Sasta ‘Anton’ trousers for cooler weather or their ‘Kaarna’ for warmer months. Not owned a pair but their ‘Wolf thermo’ Trousers have a Gore-tex mid-liner which supposedly makes them pretty waterproof and breathable all in one. Anton and Kaarna made from mix of recycled polyester and wool with Kevlar around knees, crotch etc. Breathable (for Sir’s knackers) but also water repellant enough for most outings. Wolf thermo are polyester and Gortex. Bit spendy though. https://www.sasta.com/en/products/hunting/product/anton-housut#product=anton-housut https://www.sasta.com/en/products/hunting/product/kaarna-housut#product=kaarna-housut https://www.sasta.com/en/products/hunting/product/wolf-wolf-thermo-housut#product=wolf-wolf-thermo-housut
Jet flint
Fjallraven make some excellent trousers. The model name eludes me but have not let me down in 5 years.

Dunc
I'm after a pair too and the main requirement is that I can adopt the sitting position on a pissing wet day and not get my backside soaked. The old Regatta cheapies have done OK for a few seasons but I will need something for the new shooting season. Will the above recommendations remain waterproof under 'pressure' ? 😉

Jet flint
Pressure wise, a mid range up sailing salopette cannot be beaten. It depends how much walking action they are going to get or if you need to be a bit less obvious. Musto offer some good country waterproofs based on their sailing ranges.
