ColinBR
Hi guys My father has just picked up a Anschutz 64 Mpr for benchrest shooting and is looking for a bipod to suit the rail and rifle. He's stuck a Harris style bipod on the just now with an adapter for that rail, but was wondering what bipods are purpose suited for that type of rail, as the Harris isn't as steady as he'd like with using the adapter. terryh
ColinBR I used an adapter with the Harris and it all locked up tight, where is the un-steadiness coming in?? You can use Annie rail-specific bi-pods or simply drill and mount a length of Picatinny rail on the for-end, which is what i did to use a QR Atlas. The MPR is a real nice rifle, found R50 worked in mine. T
ColinBR
Hi Terry I think it's the angle on the mounting pads that are causing the movement. Yes I can bend the pads so that it mates up better with the underside of the stock, but I still get a little bit of play.
ColinBR
Fitting a piece of picatinny rail definitely sounds like a more sound way to go.
1066
Not what you're after I guess but I make a little girly bipod/rest for Anschutz, Walther, FWB target rifles - Fits the 12mm Euro rails.
ColinBR
Those are just like the bipod/stands for a target rifle. Basically just to stop the rifle toppling over.
