baldie
Just finished this .308 Fatboy. This is a Valkyrie Odin action with fluted bolt and facetted shroud. 20 MOA rail and tactical knob. Fitted with a Border 1 in 12" twist barrel and chambered in .308 palma specifically for the 155 grain bullet. Fluted and screwcut 18mm x 1 with invisible cap. The thread is spigotted to mate exactly with the Jet-z moderator. Metalwork is finished in H series OD green Cerakote and the same in black on the bolt etc. Trigger is a rifle basix. The stock is probarbly the oldest AICS i've seen. Its one made specifically for a remington as it had the swept back bolt recess and also the magazine section is cast. These are wire edm'd now. The skins are finished in my own blend of special primer then Duracoated in OD green with Matt black and snow grey airbrush work to mimic a McMillan marble. les
That's a great looking rifle. I particularly like the fluted shroud - definitely a touch of class.

baldie
Took it and tested it today in very poor conditions. Teeming it down with a gusty wind. I,ve had to put the targets on the radiator ! Shot 3 groups with it, this being the last and best. The initial group was 1/2" This is Lapua's accuracy load with a 155 scenar and Vhit 150. Perhaps they know a thing or two about loading ? It definatley suits the palma chamber.
