  1. After two of them, one which randomly moved it's zero settings and another with a disappointing image, my need for knowledge on the PARD offerings is complete. I'd rather go back to the lamp than have another PARD.
  2. Sorry, Richy. I was referring to the fact that Phoenix regularly recommends the PARD NV008 and seems to hold a low opinion of pretty much anything else of a similar price. As the former owner of two disappointing NV008 units, I get sick of reading comments such as the ‘If you must buy a Digex’ comment he made above.
  3. Must tell that to the 32 foxes I've shot to date with the Digex's supplied illuminator on my 222.
  4. No use on a Digex, far too bright. Great IR for something else though.
  5. Paul, you know what you must do. Throw it out. It's had three owners that you know of and you obviously doubt what it actually is. Expensive lesson, but that sometimes happens.
  6. 1. No rear bush if over barrel style, but in truth I prefer a muzzle can. 2. Good noise reduction. 3. Light weight.
  7. Good results there, Scotch_egg. Glad the Muroms look to be working well for you.
  8. I've just ordered a hundred. They're £31 per hundred, plus post. Price has increased due to a change in the jacket to something tougher in the base for .243 'hunting' bullets.
  9. The CCI 450 produces groups twice the size of those the Murom KVB223M shoots in my 6.5x47. Only used a few hundred Muroms, but haven't had one pierced. Were the problems caused by the standard KVB223 or the tougher KVB223M? Scotch Egg, if you want some, I think you've got my number.
  10. The QD ones don't look like any Warne mounts I've seen- I'd say they are Hilver (or the same after they were re-branded as Tasco).
  11. Interesting. Is your Digex the N450? What distance advantage would you estimate the Ludicrous Lumens Wraith gives you over the supplied illuminator? I would happily consider a LL product but gave up trying to deal with Clive Ward years ago!
  12. blueroll speaks much sense. I've not tried any other illuminator on mine, but have shot 9 foxes in less than three weeks with it and the supplied illuminator.
  13. Found the 70 grain tipped ones load fussy in my 6BR, but hellish accurate after careful load development, effective and affordable.
  14. Genuine one, too. I have no horse in this race! What cartridge are you thinking of trying them in?
  15. Tried the 105 grain in a 6x47. First time out for a bit of load development produced a 100 yard group in the .1"s. Every load of the 5 or 6 I tried in it went comfortably sub .4" Unfortunately, the first crow I shot with one caused a scary ricochet, so I didn't persist with them. Can't hold that against them, of course, it's a match bullet after all. If I was just shooting targets I would have tried nothing else.
  16. I heard that the funeral of Steve Jones of Trent Firearms was this afternoon. Had good deals from him over the years. I'm sure he'll be missed.
