  1. I have a CMMG 22  A Beryl 22 and of course a Rugger 10/22(an old metal one )   at 25 &50 yard club competitions they are all better than me at 100 yards the first two are better

But at 100 yards the CZ455 and an old Anshutz 54 are much better  and the new CZ457 LRP is almost boringly accurate .

    Hourses for courses

  2. Having been to both BSS and Target shooting show  and the Northern show  they really are different shows

if you want to see the big exibitors then its BSS or Northern

If you shoot shotgun then same again

    Clothing as above

Target show is just that (not a bad thing mind ) but its practical based really ,alll the shotguns are mostly sec 1  there is a selection of airsoft and practical accesories .

you cant really compare  you wont see AI  Viking  (although Andy was around ) Sportsman Optics etc at the target show  or the large clothing stalls .

Maybe Northern (i believe they have been taken  over now )and BSS are pricing themselves out of the market for smaller independants ?

Thank you for the kind offer. Sadly too far away. Its a dilemma. Take the plunge and buy the Lilja with high expectations and be disappointed or a factory CZ MTR barrel and have a nice surprise. Of course i may wish i bought the Lilja in hindsight. Another advantage besides cost is the 16" MTR barrel option and the 1/2"unf factory thread whereas the Lilja will have to threaded and could possibly ruin it. That's the dilema.

Could i ask what ammunition to use for this accuracy please?

ive used eley action   some old pink box lapua mini mags and  normal cci   in all fairness the lap was the best followed by either cci   but there wasnt enough in it really to worry

Very interested if this incredible accuracy is with a 20" fluted factory barrel as i will be purchasing a .22lr barrel soon. Looking at Lilja but still open to the idea of saving a few quid.

    Thanks

Any of you using a CZ457 LRP.. what do you think of them..??

I had a look at a voodoo renegade on YouTube but I can't see me spending that much money on a rimfire.

you wont be disapointed  i have one and sold about 6  one guy said its almost boring with jagged one hole groups at 100 yards . The alternative in a wooden stock would be the MTR (i think)

There is a UK designed and built  Chassis system coming very soon ......

  6. A friend of mine has purchased a 410 and a 28bore for his other half and his 2 kids to get them into clay shooting  and they are hooked .

So is there an economical way to load them ?

I did think the lee load all but it doesnt do 28 or 410 (thought they used too )

eventually they will upgrade to 20 and 12 bores but currently he is doing around  120  four ten  and 60 28's a session

is a mec 600 the only answer ?

The practical guys at our club use the same CED unit Dave suggested, seems simple and reliable in an indoor (=not clean sound) environment.
Gets well used twice a week by them with no issues .

was using it two weeks ago at Daves place might have been one of my times  just looking for a cheaper alternative (the clubs tight )

will it work with airsoft ?

Del, what you were using here were the CED 7000’s. Nothing fancy but they work - shot time, number of shots fired, split times etc. Cost about £100. I expect that you can get them for less. The yellow rubber cover is a good idea for protection and finding the thing. They are rechargeable- the charge times last a long time.

Dave does that work with Airsoft ?
