Few people on here have seen it including DS1  Baldie and Brass Pikey

Dave Walls (AI) saw it at the BSS and was complimentry

Looking at the 452  and 455    possibly a b14 (so rem 700 )   maybe decent  AR uppers and Lowers  and a LBP

just an update B14 (rem 700)  is waiting to be machined along with a  1710 Anshutz  for Ruag

"Held responsible"  what does that imply ?  Club officers are insured if they're affiliated to the NRA, they have "professional indemnity".  If clubs have processes and follow them, and officers make considered and sensible decisions, then they are covered.  Clubs failing to have and follow processes do lay themselves open to third party claims but I believe as long as they have not been negligent they may be reassured by having insurance.  As in all things, there is risk.  Having processes, training and keeping records goes a long way to both manage risk down and to underpin any defence should things go wrong.

so would the processes included certified range officers  as speaking to an insurance provider linked to the NSRA  no qualified range officer no cover  ..

While I generally agree with where you're coming from I think we get hung up on signing off.  Signing a form doesn't suddenly impart extra responsibilities or indeed not signing a form doesn't protect us from a duty of care.

It's important for clubs to have a process written down with some documentation to show the process was followed, it's the same with probation training and issuing SCC.

So the individual and the range officer of the club would be held resposible  or the chairman of the club ?  We introduced a written record of amunition being used  with home lods checked prior to firing and after firing two home loads through a chronograph  ,more to prove a point to the amatuer reloaders , unfortunately the club secetary deams it a waste of time ...

Hi Dellboy, do you have a Facebook page or website that we can visit to monitor the progress of this venture? The thought of a British rimfire chassis system with various action options has definitely piqued my interest. A matter of importance for me though - would there potentially by options for a lefty version in the pipeline? Suppose that would be down to demand for you and whether it's worth your while.

Left hand is a distinct possibility

we do have a facebook page showing bits and bobs  . but  this isnt really a place to advertise I guess ??

  6. Its not the screw position that presents the bigest problem they can all be made

Problem is are the action bodies similar enough  ?

Is there enough of a demand to spend the time involved ?

We 3d print a couple of prototypes and test fit and fire

We program the beast in the corner and  run off two for test

We then modify any shortcomings and run another test piece

We then run a batch of 12

    We then blast and cerocoat

our systems are available (once produced ) unlike the imported options , made in the UK  and we think improved on the shortcomings of the (non available) options .

A couple of people have seen them and handled them from the site and there input was taken on board ..

I'm in Essex and my like for like variation took less than 24 hours.

During covid alot of forces seconded staff from various departments to work in more crucial roles. Some of these staff never returned to their original posts. There is also a massive shortage in police staff within control rooms and crime recording bureaus which again staff are being seconded too, including Officers of which there is also a shortage of.

Our firearms licenses fade into insignificance in comparison whether we like it or not.

What actually happened during covid they all worked from home  then the decision was made to cut staff numbers down to 12 from i believe 15 .  a couple took retirement and since then 2 feo have left . There is no internal office as they are still working from home so 24 hours is really exceptional  .I have customers waiting 6 to 8 weeks for a variation and renewals put in 3 months ago have now run out  , then again a new guy at our club put in for a license  at the same time as his other half got 9 guns each  within 2 months  (no previous firearm experience ..   You cant make it up ....
