  1. Hi Folks, I have some new 7.62x53r Lapua brass which needs to be 54r. When loading this to form the shoulder forward, what would be the best way to go? A normal weight bullet for my usual load with a start charge or a lighter bullet with a faster powder. Would it matter. I welcome any thoughts or advice. Thanks.
  2. Martin, I've been using these from Brownells for getting the shoulder bump where I want it. Find the shoulder angle and a 30 cal one to suit and you will have something to measure with. As Terry says above, the 7.5x55 can be critical with the shoulder regarding a click and no bang. Used to happen to me. I'd go with his recommendations. I always sized the case, turned it 90 degerees and went again. It's what worked for me. https://www.brownells.co.uk/SINCLAIR-BUMP-GAGE-INSERT-Standard-Mag-up-to-30-Cal-25-Shoulder-Bump-Gage-Insert-SINCLAIR-INTERNATIONAL-Belted-Magnums-749011485
  3. Accumount steel bolt on scope mount for a Schmidt Rubin K-31. Was on my rifle for about 3 years so has a few light marks, nothing bad. Never had any issues with coming loose etc. Always reliable. £60 inc postage.
  4. Hi Mr roberts, I stand to be corrected, but from what I've read, they did indeed have chrome lined barrels.
  5. 500 x .223 FMJ bullets. Part number B22055 if this means anything to anyone? Not sure of make. Hornady perhaps? Anyway, £50 inc mainland tracked postage.
  6. My rem 700 with a 1:9 twist shoots very well with the 69gr smk over 24hr vhit 140. It will take more but it loves this load. Went out to 600 metres with this load with great results. I also use the 68gr hornadys over 24gr of tac and you could get a fair bit more in there, it settles very well. These are both magazine length loads. Not sure how much further you could go out to with these, bit they performed well and were easy on the brass.
  7. Two boxes of 1000 RCBS gas checks. 1000 x .22, part number 79100, 1000 x 6mm, part number 79101. £35 per box including mainland postage.
  8. No use to me now, as above 100 once fired RP cases. £20 inc postage.
  9. Sellier & Bellot .309 / .32 / 7.65 FMJ bullets. 73gr. Sealed boxes of 100. 10 boxes available. £17.50 per box inc UK postage.
  10. I use the appropriate cross section dia o ring, cut a piece out and glue it into the primer pocket. Works great and I've yet to wear one out.
  11. SWFA SS 16x42 fixed mag rear focus. Great scope, I've had it on a 7mm-08 for two years with no problems. Excellent condition with only VERY slight ring marks, hardly noticeable. Some marking on elevation turret from cabinet storage. No original box I'm afraid, but it will be packed well. £275 inc insured postage to mainland UK.
  12. As per title. 1365 cases in all. 1000 boxed plain brass, 300 boxed nickel plated, bag of 65 assorted. If you have 200 or more I'll throw these in for free. Mostly IMI, CBC and PPU, Some Winchester. I haven't inspected every single case but I believe they are all good. £8 per 100 inc UK postage. If you would like them all, make me an offer.
  13. Interesting, didn't know about those. Be interesting to see how they perform.
  14. My friend got a box of wimbledon 155s from the shooting show. The rebated boat tail ones. I have loaded some up to try and compare against some other 155s, but then lock down happened so they're now sat waiting i my safe. What loads did you try and what do the mistral t's look like? Cheers.
  15. Same here, a large portion of our members are pension age and over. No one wants to put friends at risk.
  16. Both my local ranges closed until further notice. The yanks are buying masses of ammo again, gouging is rife, up to 4000% in some cases. Utter madness. I assume at some point in the not too distant future, we won't be able to get certain ammo or components. The US is a massive customer to a lot of manufacturers.
