  1. It surely wouldn't make economic sense.~Andrew
  2. Thanks. I really like it.~Andrew
  3. I'll bet it is. RWS ammo even at worst, is probably good. The ammo we can get locally has up-ticked with the appearance of some Norma lines, namely "TAC" and "Match". (I picked up these munitions last week but have yet to run them.) Anything else, like SK,, Lapua or RWS need to be ordered on-line. SK in the form of "Wolf Match" has been available in some stores in my locale but I haven't seen any lately. The Federal Ultra Match/ RWS connection is a secret that I hope stays secret so that I can have a source of match grade ammo for a little while.....~Andrew
  4. Were these in your Anschutz? There are a lot of warnings not to shoot Stingers in match chambers. I have only had one rifle that liked Stingers: a worn out Ruger 10/22. Ate them up. As to the SK Match. From my T1X using a bipod with no rear bag/support they gave 10 shot groups that resembled a 35 caliber hole +/- at 50 yards. I am not the best shot so I gauge accuracy by watching to see if the bullet strikes the spot on the target that the reticle was over when the trigger broke. SK was pretty good about dropping them onto the cross-hair. Another ammo that was very good was the SK "Semi Auto 22LR". I don't know if this is available to you but the LOT I have shoots almost as well as the Match. Good steel plinking ammo. The top performer has been and remains Federal Ultra Match which was simply rebranded RWS, R-50. Oddly, a local ranch supply store got in quite a bit of this ammo for their gun department but at $139 US /500 they don't sell much of it. It is the best over-the-counter rimfire ammo available to me. When I'm on my game it will shoot one hole at 50 yards. Federal dropped their contract with RWS so this won't be available to me once the supply runs out. R-50 sells here for $22.50 US/50 which makes this remaining Federal UM a good deal. I've managed to stock up a few bricks for match shooting.~Andrew
  5. I recently ordered two bricks of these from one of our distributors. Ran them in both of my T1X with excellent results. With the weather turning colder hereabouts I ordered some SK Biathlon. Haven't 'tried them yet.~Andrew
  6. Nice. I've owned M64's and they shoot. I'm also from Montana where we would call that a 1 inch, four shot group! Did he say what ammo he was using??~Andrew
  7. Funny you should say that, I had a pair of Anschutz in 22WMR and 22LR. Both were finicky to the point where "anchutz accuracy" was only available with one load for each gun. I finally got rid of them.~Andrew
  8. My point: The Tikka seems to be ammo tolerant. Less wading! I picked up some Norma Match and Norma TAC last night in Wyoming. I might give them a go if the weather doesn't turn to muck. I have a 20 " barrel. I have never seen the shorter barrel in the US. I've posted this before but this is the last time I shot it for group at 100. ~Andrew
  9. I have 5 or 6 CZ's and have retired them all for a pair of T1X. I dropped one into a KRG chassis for our long range 22 matches, the other I left stock for hunting, Yes, you can find accurate .22's in all manufacturer's lists, but the Tikka is smooth, feels solid, and has the T3 trigger group. It is one of the most tolerant 22's I own with regard to switching ammunitions -and I have lost count, literally, of the number of 22LR I own. It will shoot the best with the best quality ammo, but I've shot some less than sterling ammo that has still screwed 10 shots into a ragged hole at 50M. The last was GECO "22LR Semi Auto" which is about $2 a box here. Cheap ammo. Excellent performance from the Tikka. A friend of mine also bought a T1X and showed me a group he shot with some old Federal hi speed that was marked .99 cents. PRobably 30 years old. All but one of 10 was cutting a hole at 50 yards. ON an earlier thread I posted a 10 shot group at 100 yards. You can look for it.~Andrew
  10. This is link is to the old data. I can tell, there is no Grendel Data for some powders. They updated and expanded the data 12./18/2019. Search Shooter's' World Powders. ~Andrew

    AR fun

Diamondback Arms makes a very good AR. I have one and it is a superbly accurate rifle. Well into the sub-MOA class with commercial varmint rounds. Very reasonably priced. They make all their parts in-house and it is rumored that they supply components for other 'bigger' named manufacturers. I wouldn't doubt it.~Andrew
  12. I would seat them the best I could and run with it provided they fit in the magazine. Nice rifle.~Andrew
  13. I was talking about stability, and addressing the mechanical inability to get them to Sierra's specified depth. I have never shot them, preferring the Nosler 210's but it begs the question as to why Sierra lists data for them at that seating depth.~Andrew
  14. As to the seating problem? How close are you to the 2.230"? Is the die as low as it can be towards the shell holder? Are you using a redding shell holder as well as the die?~Andrew
  15. The 300AC Blackout is designed to shoot 240 grain, 30 caliber bullets at sub-sonic velocities. They will stabilize the 230 MK with 8" or faster twist. My 300's are all 1:7" twist which is about standard.~Andrew
  16. Yes. Very. f you can take the old one off, you can put the new one on. All one piece.~Andrew
  17. I have the LOVEX manual on line but have never had the need to look at it too closely. I was pretty excited to see the Shooter's World update a couple of months ago. The importer seems to be doing it's homework.~Andrew
  18. So it does! I just read the narrative powder description where (usually) they mention the LOVEX designation if it has one. The burn rate chart has two numerical designations. Never even noticed it on the tub. LOVEX designation is really immaterial to me, personally, as I order it and look up data as whatever the Shooters World name is. Thanks though. Got my first dose of feeling foolish for the day! 😀~Andrew
  19. Thanks. I have the manual. They just weren't specific as to the exact designation by LOVEX. I have been loading several different LOVEX powders including the Tactical Rifle, Match Rifle, SW4350 and Long Rifle. The latter two in the Creedmoor. They recently expanded the 6.5 Grendel data for Match Rifle and I have attained Nirvana with a 120 Sierra Pro Hunter @ 2700 fps from my CZ. Half-sh MOA, a grain and a half under MAX. No pressure. Kills deer like a thunder-clap. Love the stuff. Bought 16 pounds of it. My girl friend uses it for her 168 grain Match loads in 308. I will be trying it with 175's. Useful stuff.~Andrew
  20. Glades armory in the US has them. $15 flat international shipping fee. THey ship to the UK.~Andrew http://gladesarmory.com/21/cz455-tactical-bolt-handle (I bought one for my Ruger American. Good fit.)
  21. Good Morning Steve, KRG stated 65 in/pounds and I used that. Seemed to work. Like you, I don't think I'm getting better accuracy but I know I'm shooting the rifle better. Tried some Geco Semi Auto 22LR yesterday. I was surprised that it grouped under half inch! At least the 10 shots I fired. (50 yards) Seven were in a .342" diameter hole. I guess I need to revisit this inexpensive ammo.~Andrew
