Brummy Mark
Had a play with a covert, trigger was OK and did what its supposed to. Ran some standard mil' ammo through it and it grouped OK but was much better with hand loads. Expensive? have a look at what the competition is and then its not too bad, its a bit of kit designed to take a bashing and still work, a few have commented on the price comparison between custom built rifles and the DTA kit, I would hasten to add that those expensive custom built rifles might have bits break off them if they were subjected to similar abuse from law enforcement and military operators who this kit is aimed at. It is what it is and it does it very well all said and done; they are not built for gentle handling at the range are they
tackb
it's too expensive if they want to sell many to civvys and not just government users.
MJR
Gents, be under no illusions as to the accuracy of the DTA - they do shoot. I have had the pleasure of watching one being used and putting a few rounds down one myself and accuracy was definately not a concern. In fact quite the opposite. The trigger is heavier than a jewel et al but thats the nature of the beast and it did break cleanly. I shot it left handed so not ideal for me personally but it is no doubt an effective, very well built rifle system. Different in use to what i'm used to but the design does allow use of longer barrels and still remain compact.
tackb
no doubt they are a superb bit of kit but i stick by my 'too expensive for the civvy market' statement
