Guest Kenneth
Would I be correct in saying Ackley never actually did any development work on the 6.5X55Swe? I have always understood that it was not until the mid 90's that was two guys from the states who set about seeing what they could do with this old calibre and found it achieved some of the highest performance gains of any "Improved" cartridge. Guest Kenneth
I think you are right the idea came out off the states then the 65 x 284 Isn't that always the way though? You think of some some idea of a firearm configuration or an improvement to a said calibre to a only to find some yank has been and done it 10 years earlier. I'm just waiting to see who's the first to start using the .280 British

Streeker59
Sweet..... Love the stock.. The more i read about 6.5 x 55 ack the more i want a rifle chambered in it. Not sure about the tight neck bit... Does it really make a huge difference in accuracy compared to a standard chamber ?
bigdan
please excuse this if it makes me sound like a doughnut but would you need a variation for the calibre if you already own a 6.5x55 ?
