My Sako quad is intermittently firing and not striking the case. I have only noticed this recently when entering a 30 round competition at our club. When I reload the rounds, they fire ok so l assume it is not an ammo issue. The rifle has done in excess of 4000 rounds but hasn’t missed a beat until recently. Just wondered if anyone has had a similar issue, any help would be appreciated. n8ess

£125 posted The Redding Instant Indicator Comparator with Dial is useful for quickly comparing headspace and bullet seating depths within 0.001 of an inch. The headspace measurement is from the case shoulder to the base. This information is critical for setting the sizing die to achieve the precise amount of shoulder bump. To compare bullet seating depths simply insert a standard Redding sizing bushing of the proper bore diameter for the calibre you are using. Supplied with instructions to check and quickly compare overall case lengths and bullet base to ogive. One bore diameter bushing is included (as indicated). Technical InformationFits: The Instant Indicator fits the cartridge listed in the description, however it may be used for a family of cartridges with the same shoulder angle Function: Check headspace from the case shoulder to the base of the case Notes: Information provided by this indicator is useful for setting up sizing die to achieve the precise amount of shoulder bump Indicator is supplied with instructions and requires the use Redding Neck Bushings (One is included for the appropriate cartridge)

Interesting, I may try a similar N150 load in my Blaser? Where did you go for the Murom KVB223M primers?

I have the exact model, definitely the classic Bond look.

Do you have any 6.5x47 brass. lm also after a Fl die, either redding or Forster. thanks Neil -
What size pins work best with the tumbler and how many are needed?
-
Out of interest, could someone explain why it is not ok to dry fire a Rimfire?

Thanks for the info, l haven’t heard of Murom KVB-223m primers before? I have just purchased 6.5x47 & 22-250 Blaser with 22” match barrels so trying to work up some loads. I did think your loads were hot until l read about you coating them. Saying that I have a Borden Alpine in 6br and l run that above the recommended limits with no pressure signs. Can l ask what determines how often you coat your barrel and does this affect your cleaning routine?
-
Catch-22 off topic slightly but may ask what bullets and loads you were using? I have been using vit140 with some success but my groups could be tighter.

Fantastic looking rifle, l have a Borden Alpine in 6mmbr, top class actions.
