No i deer
I thinking I need one.. I was sat out last night til dark waiting for a fox or 2 to show and found my eyes straining constantly looking through my EL's.. I was thinking a thermal would be ideal as the light is fading.. I'm not familiar at all with any type of night vision or thermal imaging.. I don't wanna spend much on one.. What make and model would you recommend so I know where to start looking.. Cheers NID
ashcroft
I've used a Pulsar xm30 axion key model for a few years and found it more than adequate for my needs They come up used around £650 Mark and new around 950-1k on sale
OSOK
Trust me ... You want a 640 sensor , See if there is a second hand Pulsar Helion or if you want a new one then look at the Hik Falcon ..... If you don't then never look through one as there's no going back 😄 OSOK
gunfantic
Depending on how much you are looking to spend on a thermal monocular. I got the AGM TC19-256 that I could mount to my rifle, but I mainly use it as a monocular while hunting.

phoenix
Depends how much you mean by "not much", but basically you're looking at £1k for a new thermal monocular that has decent performance Used will be cheaper, but not that much Cheers Bruce
No i deer
As I'm not familiar with any of the night vision stuff £650 second hand was a shocker.. I've seen some night vision scopes that were £4000 plus but no I deer what I'm looking at.. That I'd imagine is top money for that type of scope.. Not looking for that anyway.. Don't do much night stuff these days.. I was/am a lamper when we go out.
gunner223
Maybe if you ask on here there might be someone down your way that has a thermal that you could look through, once you start to use one , you will always have it with you, great bits of kit. Robbie Skene
Not mine, but a low end ATN one has just gone on SD for £
Remmy308
If you only want it to see there is quarry there then positively identify with NV then get a lower spec sensor as it will be cheaper if you want to know exactly what the quarry is before you move into your rifle then spend a bit more and go for a higher spec sensor its down to what you can afford and what your wanting from the unit
