Tikka T3x UPR barrel/chamber scoring

I picked up a new T3X UPR recently, having had good experiences with Tikka rifles in the past. Unfortunately, this one has a huge scoring mark in the free bore area, which also extended to damage the chamber around the area where the cartridge neck would end.

Would you consider this a manufacturing defect? Never seen this on any other Tikka (yet).

Brand new rifle. It had some patches through to clean any oil and manufacturing residue (until patches were clean), then fired 6 rounds to zero the scope.

Looks like a manufacturing defect. Also looked at friend's TAC A1, and that didn't have the free bore damage.

To me it looks like a machining issue with the bore mandrel. Subsequent machining and reaming actions are rotating and can't produce that defect.

I'll ask Tikka about it and post their reply on the forum.
