Brand new rifle. It had some patches through to clean any oil and manufacturing residue (until patches were clean), then fired 6 rounds to zero the scope. Looks like a manufacturing defect. Also looked at friend's TAC A1, and that didn't have the free bore damage. To me it looks like a machining issue with the bore mandrel. Subsequent machining and reaming actions are rotating and can't produce that defect. I'll ask Tikka about it and post their reply on the forum.

I picked up a new T3X UPR recently, having had good experiences with Tikka rifles in the past. Unfortunately, this one has a huge scoring mark in the free bore area, which also extended to damage the chamber around the area where the cartridge neck would end. Would you consider this a manufacturing defect? Never seen this on any other Tikka (yet).

Is this a folder or fixed stock version? Cheers, Jo
