Bangbangman
Traditionalists, have a bucket handy... As much as I love my Marlin GSBL 1895 lever-action in 45-70Govt, I had an itch to scratch and EVERYTHING has to be tactical, right?! Before: During: Old forearm tenon: New forearm tenon (needed lapping to fit): After: M-Lok compatible handguard with 3 round holder (mag tube holds 6), blemished laminate stock into which I've fitted a QD flush cup for sling mount. There's another part on the way, hopefully, and I want to fit a red-dot sight or smaller 1-6x scope instead of this 4.5-14x40 Leupold. It will be interesting to see if the new forend will improve the thermal drift I encounter (rifle is very accurate for a lever gun if I let it cool between shots) Traditionalists won't like it but I think it'll fit in better with future post-apocalyptic fashions. Popsbengo
all you need now is some Hornady LEVERevolution full power zombie stoppers, give yer' shoulder a work out 😁 Watch the eyebrow!

I cast my own zombie slayers, 300-460gr. Gets your attention when you squeeze the trigger (makes eyebrow nervous!) The green with red tips in these batches were my favourite novelty zombie boolits! The ones for the 45-70 are the SWC "Elmer Keith" 250gr, 300gr Mihec HP (huge HP) and my own design 460gr Mjöllnir (Hammer of Thor, large meplat, gas-checked). TC
I had no clue that powder coating cast lead bullets was a thing . I (and my lever actions) obviously don’t get out much as I was finding articles back beyond 2015. Intersting stuff. I’ve only played with copper washed lead to try and cut down on barrel leading and found them to be very soft. I don’t particularly want to get in to casting at this point. Is there a recommended UK source for pre powder coated hardcast bullets? Tony

geek
I like it (updated version)! I bought a Marlin Dark in .44 Mag with the Midwest Industries aluminium M-Lok handguard, also added the 'bullet quiver' and handguard mounted ammo holder. However, I also have a traditional Marlln 1894 in .38/.357.
