chaz
As above folks, I'm looking for a cheapish rangefinder around the £130 mark. I had a Hawke LRF 400 and that was great, but that was years ago. And I don't know if they are still any good? I'd like to be able to laze out to a minimum of 600 yards. So could I have some constructive advice folks? Cheers. Chaz. I suspect he was laughing at the bit where you said: “it was AIMED at Golfers”. Thats how I read it, and it gave me a chuckle. Personally, I think golfers are fair game! chaz
I got the joke, and it was funny. But I've had 2 replies that have given me no input or advice about the range finders at all. I'm just a tad frustrated. Cheers Chaz
Catch-22
Personally I can’t help you, other than to say the Leica CRF 2700-B is really very good. But that’s a fair amount more than your budget. I’ve heard good reports about the Bushnell 1700 but I’ve not used one personally. I think that aligns more with your price point. Or you could seek unwanted rangefinders in the wanted section. A Leica or SIG Kilo would be a very good buy 2nd hand.

Richiew
Utting’s do a hawke 800 for £119 . LCD display are good for daytime but you’ll need led display if your wanting it to work at night . Cheers
chaz
Thanks for the replies folks. I don't do much night shooting, more plate bashing than anything else. So I've settled on an LRF that's a little bit more money. I've gone for the Hawke Endurance 700 OLED Laser Rangefinder. Cheers. Chaz. Woodlander
I think to range out to 600 reliably on non reflective objects, you’ll be needing one that states it ranges out to 900/1000 yds. I had a Bushnell Scout arc 1000, that was good to 5-600 easily, before I upgraded to a Leica crf. would recommend both
