Had my first go at 22rf LR on Sunday. A 300 yards shoot (very well) organised by the GBFCA and sponsored by RUAG who made some rifles available and also supplied ammunition for folks to try in the form of R50, R100 etc.

Very interesting for me, first time out with new stick I collected on Friday and came away with a few things:

• Great fun, will be doing it some more when opportunity arises.
• The wind is a bloody killer 😉
• ERATEC bases do what they say on the tin - put 40moa onto the base (which is a doddle to do) and it moved the poi by 41.75" and back to zero = good enough.
• I need to sort out shooting from a rear bag.
• I'm really rusty a reading the wind
• Forgot how bald I was until I saw this photo 😧
• need to practice technique as to me 22rf 'seems' more difficult to shoot consistently?

It is fun. I did OK at the Bisley Shoot at 200 yds shooting match rifle style (Front hand under stock on a rest, nothing under the but) but my 300 was a joke!

Was indeed good to get out and shoot Ewen, catch up with you and a few other folks, the 600yard F class pm was also very enjoyable.

Believe that is your 22rf stick in the background.

I walked down for a look and soon as i got there it started raining so I quickly back tracked too the vehicle as I was only in shorts and a polo shirt 🤪.
