Which rangefinder for ELR

Hi Folks,

 

I am looking for a new range finder for past 1000 metres upto a mile and possibly more, my swarovski 10x42 RF are not upto this, shame! 

Seen abit on youtube about sig sauer etc, so what do you folks use?

Currently using a Vectronix Terrapin which has proved to be solid and reliable.

No longer Mande as far as I know? But they have a newer model the ‘X’ which now has Bluetooth to communicate with Apps - not cheap, but cheaper than their military models.

I used a Vectronix PLRF 10, Ranges out to 2.5k with ease. 

If I didn't have the Vectronix I'd look at the newer Leica RF binos now.

That's good to know, these are probably on the bucket list.

Currently use the Leica CRF 2700-B. Nice bit of kit, though as with most LRFs you ideally need a little stand or rest to get best results when ranging out to extreme distance.

Ditto Catch-22. I have taken mine well beyond 2000yards BUT...  they all vary greatly  in performance based on light conditions!

If I could afford it my choice would be a Vectronix....I wish!

Thanks folks, I just wanted to see how the SIG held up with the competitors and it seems to of come up short in popularity so it looks like the Terrapin will be the next BIG purchase.

Will do I think from what I have gleamed from info the original was military spec and the new one is for the civilian market.
