Strangely Brown
It would be good if there was an egg shoot and fly shoot at bisley.maybe if there was enough intrest somebody would organise it. The RBL shoot is as close as we get at Bisley to the Fly & Egg shoot.

duff eyed doyle
I shot like a donkey. managed 53 with 3v's with my own rifle, then failed miserably with the issued rifle. never mind there's always next time!
Breacher
Well done, LMT? Thanks John. Yes - LMT with GGG 168gr - cannot fault this rifle !! As to the issued rifle - although they had the ammo stacked in a "GGG Imperial Match" cardboard box, it was in fact bog standard 147gr NATO ball ammo inside so one should not expect too much from it. I dont recall my score but it was only a couple of V-Bulls and then 5s, 4s and maybe even a few 3s.
brown dog
Yes - LMT with GGG 168gr - cannot fault this rifle !! Wow - a doubly impressive result then! - How does it group (and what optic do you have on it?)?
Breacher
Wow - a doubly impressive result then! - How does it group (and what optic do you have on it?)? Nightforce NXS 8-32 scope. Obviously I was only able to go to about 18 or 20 mag and still see all the castle. Not measured groups properly yet but its certainly consistent - this 50.6 and I managed a 50.9 + 50.7 at the 300 Imperial McQueen.
Swarovski1
I had a shocker at mcqueens yesterday, 0 v's, 5 a's and 5 b's,couldn't make out where my shots had gone, a mate took a photo as he was working the butts and I had shot around a 2 inch group high of the vbull, it was cock on zeroing, I had another go in the afternoon,I decided to aim low of the vbull after what happened in the morning and I had 4 v's 6 a's which is 54 points,6 for a vbull,5 for and A,4 for a b so on etc, redeemed myself, maybe its because I zero off the rear bag and shoot prone without it. Strangely Brown
Surely the V is scored 5.1 making a HPS 50.10?
duff eyed doyle
Surely the V is scored 5.1 making a HPS 50.10? not sure why it was changed but when shot in NRA competitions at 200yds the V bull is scored as six.

Quite odd really, I was joint first in the Phoenix with a 50.2 this year, but the year before at the McQueens they were scoring V's with a 6. I don't think Martin C who runs the Imperial McQueens has ever scored V's with a 6.

When shot during the imperial at 300 yds as you say it is scored in the conventional manner.

Breacher
I shot in the McQueens at The Gallery Rifle National Championships this year and they counted the old way ie 50.6 - it is best this way as with 6s two shooters can score the same with different numbers of v bulls making it harder to see at a glance who has won. Breacher
Edit - they scored it the old way on the point but looks like the scored it the new way in the prize list.
