JDBenelliM1
Hi all, thinking about getting a PCP for a bit of fun in the garden this spring/summer. The problem is I've no idea which are the 'ones' to have. 20 years ago I got my first air rifle, a HW97K and I've never used anything else. Don't want to waste time trawling through countless reviews online so thought I'd ask what people here are using and hopefully narrow the options! Cheers
Guest Stacka
Daystate - not cheap but amazing rifles. You can pick up a second hand Airwolf for a £600 I have a MK4 .22 in FAC I use it for rats and squirrels. http://www.daystate.com/

pork chop
grand will get you a good set up,look out for a 3lt bottle s/h make sure it's in test if you find one that will save a good few quid.i've owned all the makes mentioned above and all will do whats wanted ,still daystate for me though. my lad got a mint bsa scorpion with scope fired less than a tin of pellets and will put pellet on pellet at 25y for £250 ,you dont need to spend a fortune

triggersqueezer
a sandwell field sports tuned 97kt is still one of the most accurate rifles around.accuracy wise up there with daystate.a second hand tuned 97 will set you back around £300 .whilst good if i had a healthy budget i would go pcp and if sub 12ftlbs i would go hw100kt weirauch but if going fac then daystate all the way.i have only ever heard good reports about theoben rapids but to me there so ugly i could never own one over the rifles mentioned. Chris-NZ
I have an FAC (40ft-lb) .22 AirWolf and it's a serious piece of kit. Here's the accuracy with 18gr JSBs It's total death to anything under 80yds and I've levelled many maggies and rabbit past that
Murph
I would go with daystate. I have had several over the years. I currently still have a daystate harrier x with a beautiful thumbhole stock. Puts out about 30 ftlb. Very accurate rifle which never lets me down with bisley magnum pellets. Scotch_egg
Took my 20 year bottle to http://www.godive.net/go-shoot.html#/category/519 They were my local filling station. Not only were they honest when they got the bottle through test with a 50 pence O ring they were categorically the cheapest place to but knew bottles as recommended by another specialist BBS. Clearly I have no association to the company, neither does ukv. There is a grumpy chap who works there but isn't there at most places

Scotch_egg
I will be honest. I haven't kept the receipt. It was more economical to put it through test than buy new though. I am a tight git so can be confident of that.

andybrock
I'll give them a ring The last time I had mine tested the local dive shop sent it away for testing and I think it was around £35 for a test and refill, but if your bottle fails you loose the lot!! pengo
not heard of these, will give them a try as i need a bottle test soon, you mind telling me what they charged Hi there Pork Chop, You can always try here: Chesterfield Scuba Centre, Wheatbridge Road, Chesterfield, Derbyshire S40 2AB Phone:01246 245408 www.divenut.co.uk They're on the old Robinsons factory site on Chatsworth Road. You can get in by driving through the main gates to the new Dr's surgery and they are on the right hand side. They will fill and test your bottle if needed. I've always found them very helpful. Just a small shop that do diving equipment. If you're from Chesterfield, you'll know where I mean. I think their customer service is better than SDS and possibly cheaper. Hope this helps. Cheers.
