These were the fore-runner (made I think 1998 - 2005) to the X5 series which are more competition dedicated. However I have a 229 addiction and this a bit different - hand fitted, all stainless steel with a very light SA trigger but retains the DA also. The 357 Sig round is a 40S&W necked down to 9mm - recoil in this is less than my 9mm p229 due to the extra weight of the stainless frame and barrel weight.. Fit and quality is on another level than normal Sigs. The other member of my 229 family - P229 AL SO top (9mm) and 229 AIrsoft bottom - which is my sons, but he lets me use it in the garden Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
