walkabout
I would like to try some 100yd benchrest with my 6-6.5x47 Lapua. It has a 28" Bartlein barrel with a 1:8 5R twist, throated to SAAMI spec. Any bullet recommendations? Thanks Mark
jcampbellsmith
http://www.bergerbullets.com/products/all-bullets/ I was looking for a heavier flat base target bullet on the list, but they are varmint bullets. 68 gr Match FB Target might be an option? garyw
i have the same and it shoots really well with 75 vmaxs '100yds[foxing load] the 6x47 really shines with 90gn+ bullets i used 105 berger hybrids for f class out to 1000yds at 100yds they will shoot under 0.5moa. it depends if you want to shoot heavy or light bullets i would pick a light bullit the sierra 95gn match are a good choice or any berger you can get around the same weight. whatever you choose its all about enjoying the day-be warned it becomes addictive i now shoot a 6ppc in br couldnt resist trying to shoot the smallest groups possible. get to diggle on the first saturday in april when the first 100yd shoot is on you will be probably in sporter/factory class ie non custom br rig. The Gun Pimp
It's probably going to be in the 90gn to 108gn range. Honestly - only the target can tell you which your rifle prefers. Personally, the 105gn Berger VLD has always worked for me.
walkabout
Thanks guys I am using the 105 berger hybrid for long range stuff...when I can get them!! I wanted to save them for long range That's why I was looking for something readily available for short range Mak

6.5shooter
If conditions where not too bad weather wise would a flatbase bullet driven faster not be better for teeny tiny groups?
onehole
Only my opinion,,,,,,,,,Berger 80g Fb,s match could possibly be better but I believe they are only available as a varmint head now? Unless you could have a peak under my bed,,,hahaha,,,,,O
