6x47 load data

Hi just got my 6x47 up and running. Can anyone give me any load data and seating depth's for 105 amax. A few people have suggested 40g of n160? And I also saw a load of 39.5g of n550 doing 3115fps on reloaders nest. does anyone else use n550 in there's? Any load data and seating depths would be helpful. Thanks ro6.5

i use 39.4- Elcho 17 with a 105 berger vld magnum primer.gives me 3200fps.

i havent used n550 but have /do use n160 with the sierra 95gn btmatch.40.6gns.

as for seating depth only your rifle will determine that .

as with all data start lower work up all rifles are not the same.

others will chime in.

Try Reloader 17 - or Elcho 17, the cheaper version. Excellent velocity. Start at 38gn and as always work up slowly. All rifles are different - one of my 6x47s was doing 3200fps another was blowing primers a grain below. I've also used Vit N560

 

Seating depth? Not really - it will be peculiar to YOUR rifle.

Ive just tried a few loads and 39gr of Elcho 17 was superbly accurate!

Try imr 4350. Mine runs at 39. Something need to check exact charge. Bullet on bullet.

My most accurate load with RL17 was with 40gr and going 3180fps in the summer months but also drops down to 3130 when it is really cold.

N560 groups were half the size with the same 40gr powder charge but velocity was waaay down by 300 fps.

Will be moving to N160 when the last of the RL17 is gone but would also like to try H4350 if the shop ever receives its delivery.
