Muzzel Energy calculation is easy and does not require any specific SQEP, you just need a bullet weight and the velocity. For all other issues associated with the testing of ammunition, and particularly Home Loaded Ammunition the NRA are not SQEP. Exceeding HME Limits for the Range does not mean the ammunition is not safe and is potentially going to cause a catastrophic firearm failure.

The NRA are not SQEP to make any assessments about Hand Loaded Ammunition.

So they are not going to bother with .223. If their concern is HME calibres exceeding the ME Limits for the Range it’s not the same a having concerns about badly assembled and dangerous homeloads.

Unless they are the agent of an RFD I would suppose they cannot legally take a few rounds off anyone. Firing home loads in any rifle other than the one it was loaded for is also potentially unsafe. Chrono the one it was loaded for would be the way to go.

Well said. The GBPRA has mostly moved on and has done a lot of work to grow Precision Rifle shooting in the UK as have many others, SIS, RMPRA, PRS UK to name a few. The IPRF World Championships, originally announced as being in Spain, then Hungary and now France may or may not go ahead but from the sidelines it looks like another example of a good idea poorly executed. If more information comes to hand on what may or may not be happening I will share it, I don't need anyones permission. Open debate is healthy.

This barrel swap took a little longer, its an AR15 .223 barrel that needed re-crowning, took about 20 minutes to build back up again. Barrel nut going on. Barrel nut snugged up. Forend fitment attached to Barrel Nut. Forend attached to fitment. New crown. Self Timing Brake Nut. Snugged up. Brake fitted and timed. AR15 Upper fixture, simple and very effective for doing any barrel removal or replacement. All back together.

How long does it take you to swap out a barrel? I've just refitted two barrels to my T2ks in about 10 mins total.
