Glad to help. I'm assuming you're familiar with trimming screws (split nuts, vice and file?). I'll go grab a pic with the phone and add it here in a minute... Just use a hack saw and split a couple nuts. Then thread them on the action screw. Clamp in a vise so the end is facing up, and take a few threads off with a file (helps if you round the edges a bit). Then thread the split nuts off to clean up the threads. Pretty straightforward for those not familiar with the process...

Actually, it just sounds like his screws are a bit too proud. A couple licks with a file to shorten them a mite, and he'll be fine. KRG chassis are known to right on the hairy edge of stock action screws, and in some cases one or both have to be replaced. Remmy clones are 1-4"-28 (just like the parent), so pretty straight forward to replace if needs be...

That's actually not a bad price. I can attest that these work very well (with the $25 Temp sensor) for long range ballistic calculations. The custom ballistics curves are fairly accurate, and don't require much (if any) truing. The range card function is handy if hunting a known area, where distances can be laid out in advance.

I don't know if it's an option for you, but I believe XLR will sell you a new hand guard that is MLOK.

Oh I hear you. I too think watches have gotten much too large in diameter. Here in the States, the bigger faces/diameters still seem to be en vogue. At least for the time being. All things go in cycles though, eh?

That looks very similar to something I saw called a "Braddock" round, a few years back...

Simple, rugged and easy to read. Resco "Hooper" (on the left) or the "Patriot Gen 1" (on the right). Honestly, the Patriot gets the most wear (and beating). No batteries to go dead on either of them, so they see pretty much continual use, unless I have a formal function I have to attend. Then other, more "dressy" watches get the nod.

LOL, no doubt. But this stuff has been acquired over the years, so it wasn't a big hit to the wallet all at once.

A Giraud case trimmer. One of the better time saving pieces of reloading equipment out there IMHO. Those trim dies are spring loaded, so you just drop the case in the die, slowly press down (while it cuts) and then twist 180* to get and even, repeatable trim. Can do about 100 cases in 5 mins (or less). ETA: And it trims and chamfers (inside and out) all in one cut.

And finally the office got so full, that the formal dining room table (which we never use) was taken over. In my quest for speed and and convenience, as reloading became a burden, more tools were acquired. Given a choice, I wouldn't reload, but like many here, my requirements are driven by differing cartridges and the volume needed to pursue various disciplines of the shooting world. And so it continues... I really needed a dedicated room, just for reloading...

I started out as many, doing it save a bit of money and tailoring the ammunition to my rifle (singular) at the time. As I understood it, AI was releasing their AX 50 in some CheyTac chamberings (mostly due to the California prohibition of .50 caliber) later this year. Might be easier on you guys sourcing an AI than some of the other actions that support the large chamberings...

I'd say that it's more important that the cases aren't too long, more so than all the same length. That being said, I trim them to all be the same length. A Giraud case trimmmer makes short work of the task and ensures consistency.

Yes, that "Hooper" model is quite nice (I have one), and is pretty faithful to the reproduction of the Alsta Nautoscaph watch that "Dr. Hooper" wore in the movie "Jaws". Honestly, all the Resco watches are nice. Well built, and as they say, good for "Downtown or Downrange". And all of them have that durability that is typically expected from that community (SEAL/NSW). A great company, with some really nice watches. Add to that, that is always a nice surprise, when someone (A.) notices you're wearing a Resco, and (B.) also is wearing one. They're kind of a rare watch, and a small community that wear them, so it makes it a very special.
