  1. Hi. I'll take the 70gr Nosler BT's please. I can't make it to Bisley but 'll pay for the postage, if that's OK
  2. Hi. What size is it, eg; will it do 6.5x55 and will redding dies fit?
  3. This is the Triton 42 II over barrel sound moderator made in Sweden.Thread size M15x1. Max cal .267 (came off my 6.5x55). Round count less than 100.Comes boxed and with 3 years warranty remaining.RFD to RFD or face to face in South Wiltshire.RRP is £275£125 ONO to a deserving home.
  4. My bad. I've forgotten about gallery range danger areas. Yes a 7.62 fired at 45 degrees will travel 4,000 metres and the local ranges here reflect that by having a RDA that extends to 4k. But, apart from Gallery ranges there are also Electronic Target ranges with no butts/backstop.
  5. I believe it's more to do with the Range Danger Area (RDA) template being laid out for 7.62mm, than home loads. So a bullet that is greater than 7.62 has not been proven to stay within the RDA if discharged at an angle of 45 degrees, in theory. It is 40 years since I last read a Pam 22, so things may have changed since then.
  6. Old English guns are almost being given away because of the lead ban, for example my local gun shop has over 60 in the back room and wouldn't take mine even in part exchange. Can you not pick one up dirt cheap and saw the barrel off?
  7. I have a synthetic stock with a soft rubber coating (Mauser M12 Impact). Also got a Picattini bipod rail which, due to the curvature of the stock fore end, is not quite a perfect fit. I'm thinking of bedding the rail but do not at any cost want the bedding to stick to the rubber coating.I know shoe polish, wax, oil, etc can be used, but could cling film tightly stretched on the stock do the job?Has anyone tried it?Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
  8. Hi All. I've run this bullet through the Berger stability calculator and it says that it's good for a 1 in 10 twist barrel. I'm of a mind to try it in my .243win rifle for fox and vermin, but I can't find any comments on it in Google. Has anyone on here tried them? Any comment on this specific bullet will be much appreciated.
  9. This is a steel Recknagel 20MOA Picatinni rail with screws and alan key. Excellent condition. Mauser M12 fit. RRP £71 from Alan Rhone Selling for £35 plus postage. This item is advertised on other forums.
  10. Last time I had a visit from the FEO he suggested I should consider an alarm. I said "Yes, I had considered it, but rejected the idea as I thought it might just advertise that I had something worth stealing". I also told him that for the same reason i didn't display shooting association car stickers, or have a number plate such as 'R1FLE'. He was satisfied with my response.
  11. Is there one in particular you would recommend? I know Spud Reloading provide the service and I'm tempted to try him.
  12. Hi. As above in .260 (6.5 cal max). Excellent clean condition, easily unscrews for cleaning. Less than 100 round count. M15x1 thread. over 3 years warranty remaining. Complete in it's box with instructions. Face to face FAC transaction £140. or £130 + RFD fee. This is also advertised on other sites
  13. Thank you. I'm glad I asked the question as your answers have supported my initial doubts. Pops. That is what I do with my Lapua brass prep too. Laurie. I do lube my .243 when neck turning and a 'clean up' does make a small improvement. I didn't use the correct terminology in my post re 'wobble'. What I should have said is that the expanded case easily fits and spins on the pilot by using my finger tips without any lube applied to either case or pilot. That's how I felt the play on the pilot - something that didn't occur with my .243. Too much time on my hands and an idle 6.5 neck turner at the back of the drawer led me down the "path to perfection". I have returned the offending part to the back of the drawer. Any one want a K&M 6.5 neck turner 🙄
  14. OK. I'm just trying to clean up the necks to get a tad more consistency at this stage, not go for a full neck turn. I've just used my K&M expander mandrel on 3 new and 3 once fired neck sized Lapua cases. The cases now easily slide onto the K&M Neck Turner pilot and I can feel a bit of play by hand, certainly don't need any lube that's for sure. I'm thinking that maybe just leaving the necks unturned might be better than than using a loose fitting pilot?
  15. Many thanks for your replies. Reading your answers I suspect it may be a combination of varying neck thickness (thank you Laurie) and a neck tension issue. The K&M expander gives me snug fit but maybe too loose. I'll clean the drill chuck - or even invest in a better drill and try again.
  16. Hi. I've just re-read the post about neck turning, particularly the German Salazar article. At the time that the post was put up i asked "It mentions a wobbly drill, but it doesn't say whether a wobbly drill does a bad neck turn? I'm assuming the mandrel in the neck keeps everything aligned so the cut is true?" I never got an answer. I'm asking again because I've just tried it on Lapua brass. As I was adjusting the cutter the first cut only cleaned 50% of the neck on one side. I've always believed Lapua brass was the most consistent. So is the brass not as consistent as people say, or is the wobbly drill the cause? I've attached a photo (I know I cut it too quickly). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  17. Now that would be an interesting comparison.
  18. Ranges close in 5 minutes. "Expend ammunition, Rapid Fire" springs to mind. Other than that??
  19. The barrel should be OK, as long as it will come off the weapon. Not so sure about the gas plug though 😬.
  20. Lets not lose site of what this sight is for and this is clearly a case of a bent muzzle break. Also, I have reliable information from my CHIS at FAL that FAC (FF202), Condition 5 AOLQ, does not include Wee Donkeys. Sorry.
  21. I've got the S-Tac 4-20x50 on my PCP air rifle and had it on my .22RF. I've just tried it out the kitchen window and the parallax close focus is 10m. It's been reliable and always tracked precisely. The glass is perfectly usable in daylight and with a PARD 007, though the x4 magnification is magnified to about x6. Hope that helps.
  22. Solaris SRX with the rotary tail switch dimmer, boxed, with rat tail, paperwork and warranty. As new condition with no marks and fully working. RRP £160. Grab a Bargain for £120 (P&P included)
  23. Thanks. They do the sunshade but don't list a Tenebraex for Nightforce NX8. I'll give them a call anyway. I just hate paying 2 sets of postage if it doesn't fit (been there and done that).
