  1. Luke Wadsworth in Huddersfield did one for me a few years ago, very happy with the workmanship and the way it shot. He had a couple of his own plus various other single shots and seemed to know them inside out.
  2. Not necessarily, there are plenty of accurate rifles built on 10/22's, Volquartson, AMT etc that would rival most bolt actions. The main detriment to rimfire accuracy is the ammo, always has been, always will be.
  3. Got my latest Boretech from Spud, Dolphin arms also stock them. That's all I use, they seem to have better bearings in my experience.
  4. Small base FL Bushing sizing die & Body die Both in excellent condition, no rust internal or external £30.00 the set
  5. You could also modify that slightly and have an adjustable cheekpiece riser, once the stock was cut on a bandsaw and inletted. I think I paid around about a hundred quid a few years ago to obtain one.
  6. Sure will, Sierra 168's out of a .308 have a long history of going through the target sideways at 1000 yards
  7. Tried to PM you, but says you can't receive messages. Might need to clear you inbox, or PM me.
  8. Have the following sizes available. All in excellent condition, no scratches or rust. £10.00 each plus post .259 TN coated .263 steel .267 steel .268 steel .290 steel .309 steel
  9. Fingers crossed they arrive OK Al. If they have taken payment I assume they would follow through with the transaction. The springs were supposed to be a freebie although I was more than happy to pay for the items and postage. Maybe I am doing them a disservice but as I said I had heard from others about non supply of promised parts, presumably also freebies. If you are going to order anything else let me know and maybe I'll get the spring(s) after all. Richard.
  10. Alan's suggestion is a good one but I think they have an issue with sending parts outside the US. I contacted them about sending lighter springs, offered to pay whatever the cost would be and they said no problem, they would send some but they never arrived and I've heard the same from other people as well. I have a top safety lever with arms, plus (I think) all the other parts you may need (internal cam, torsion spring, a couple of slotted pins) although one of these came off a Rifle Basix trigger I swopped out for the Jewell as it worked better with the bolt release function on the RB, being a bit shorter. My rifles don't have safeties so I just stripped it off a Jewell I bought with it attached. Send me a PM if you want it.
  11. Don't have any experience with the Quad but sounds like the firing pin spring needs changing. Also could try cleaning out the bolt if you haven't already, in case there is a build up of dirt or old oil which could be slowing the firing pin down.
  12. Gary, See attached, but yes, slips over rail and secured with three grub screws. Goes over full length of rail which is 7" on the short action.
  13. Kelbly '0' tilt Panda to Picatinny adaptor. As new, not been used. £40.00 plus post
  14. Single stage/two stage trigger for Remington 700/40X or custom actions that utilise Remington style triggers. Standard trigger blade & Anschutz blade, spare second lever return spring and light and heavy first stage springs. Can be adjusted from approx 8ozs to 3.5lbs No bolt release or safety Excellent condition, some minor marks on the outer casing from being held within a trigger hanger £150.00 plus post
  15. Berger website shows the 80g FB Varmint bullet stabilised by a 1:12 twist. Stabilisation is more dependent on bullet length than weight so that must be a stubby little number. Most bullet manufacturers websites will list the recommended twist rates for each bullet
  16. As a 'one off' anecdotal incident I was loading some ammo last Friday for shooting on Saturday and one bullet in particular had almost zero effort when seated, it really stood out against all the others, which to me seated similarly. I thought I must have missed sizing the case but couldn't pull the bullet out with finger pressure and I kept it separated from the others. At the range I was particularly interested in how far out of the group the bullet would end up, but it went right in there with all the rest, this was at 200 yards. I've had this happen before, noticeably different seating effort yet still groups with the normally seated other rounds, up to 600 yards at least. I think this was what put me off bothering annealing case necks until recently and I haven't shot enough non or annealed cases side by side to convince myself whether it actually makes any difference to the holes in the paper, the only thing that matters.
