Chaz/VarmLR, N165 would definitely be too slow, I'm using N160 with Berger 140vld's and with the boattail/bullet shank around 25 thou above the shoulder/neck junction I'm slightly compressed. Velocities are right around 2900fps from a 30" barrel. I also tried N550 and achieved the same speed with 3.5gn less powder, and carried on up by a grain or two but accuracy declined. That was with Lapua cases and CCI 450 primers. My opinion would be that N135 would be too fast, I personally wouldn't use anything faster than N150 even with the lighter bullets but if you already have some, worth a try. Richard
