  1. I use one on my P94s and to my eyes and my use, it’s perfect. I rarely get onto a bunny below 70 yards and I use rangefinder bins and know my clicks out to 100 yds. It’s ffp with the MOA2 reticle and on 24x still fine enough. Much prefer to dial in, rather than try to hold over. I like them so much I have one on a 6.5x55, light enough to stalk with and a capped version with fine crosshair reticle on my .204.
  2. RCBS Comp powder measure, comes with finger adjustable and micrometer metering screws, for pistol/small rifle and large rifle and powder drums and powder baffle. Doesn’t come with drop tubes or the little knob on the handle. Both readily available. £85 posted
  3. It’s primarily for benchrest type stuff, so nothing too large I don’t expect. Pity. Don’t know why they call it the Magnum, when .308 sized cases are its limit. I bought it a while back while I was looking for a cheap basic press for decapping, which this is obviously too nice for, it needed a good clean up, but it’s all good now. Thanks Catch 👍
  4. Thank you John. If I understand correctly, that allows sizing of larger cases and seating of .308 size cases? What, in your opinion is the largest case that can be seated? I’m thinking of 6.5x55. Thanks again and hope all’s well.
  5. I bought a 2nd hand Harrell’s compact press, a while back and I’m not 100% sure which model it is. I think it’s the magnum one, it measures around 76mm from the top of a Lee shellholder (6.5x55) to the underside of the frame or 90mm between the frame. I can’t find any dimensions after trawling the internet. Thanks in advance
  6. Calibre specific mods are supposed to give best attenuation. Wildcat sell a .20 cal
  7. I have quite a few, 12 boxes maybe, but my 6br likes them. I’m going to try Scenar and if they are more accurate than the Amax, I would think about selling a few, but at this time I’m looking for a swap for 6.5s.
  8. Thanks Daryl, but I’m after minimum 120gr, for large deer. cheers Paul
  9. I’m looking to swap some 105 Amax (6mm) for some 120/140 Amax (6.5mm) Thanks
  10. Apparently its primary use is to allow someone to reload at the range or competition. I can’t say for sure, but I imagine if that was the plan, your box of brass would be already sized and prepped, leaving only seating to be done, so to suggest it’s not suitable for seating does sound like nonsense, but, thanks to Maximus Otter for the link, this is what it says on the website.
  11. Crazy as it sounds “These presses are intended for the sizing operation and will not seat bullets in the cases they are intended to work with.” Thats referring to the br and .308 sized press, the magnum press can seat also.
  12. I tried it earlier with a .308 case and can’t imagine seating anything other than a very stubby bullet. Measuring between the shell holder and the underside of the frame gives 80mm. That doesn’t seem much. With the magnum press, it says you can size and seat, but only size on the .308 and br/ppc size. Confused.....
  13. So it’s not able to fl size or seat? I thought these were aimed at the bench rest shooter to reload at comps.
  14. I bought a well used Harrell’s press for resizing. On the website it says, for the smaller ones at least, that they’re not suitable for seating, is this strictly true? Secondly, I’m not sure which model I have, it measures 90mm between the frame. I suspect it’s the br/ppc model, can anyone confirm? Thanks
  15. Thanks Hobbit. I still find it sad that an established company could continue to accept orders and payment with no intention of supplying the goods. It could have been worse, they were still advertising expensive chassis systems.
  16. I’ve just bought a Finnfire, that bolt handle would make a sexy rifle even sexier.
