  1. Yeah I guess it wouldn’t be a problem apart from obviously the factory rail is part of the reason for buying this model so one has to lay out more cash ! The factory one is nice , dovetailed and located by locking screws that fit into dimples in the top rail, as I’ve said it’s all very nicely done and at around 1 k it would be difficult to replicate using after market parts
  2. Not sure if it was as Good as an 1 inch but yeah it was there or there about, im sure a good shooter would do very well with the gun, this was on Hythe mid November breezy but not a gale, I’m a pleasure shooter and now using 22’s and my pistol calibre rifles a lot more , just pure economics , they are way cheaper to shoot!
  3. Couldn’t really say tbh, Used it at 100 on a McQueens 200 target, which has a V about 2inches I guess? only used Eley Sport , the gun held the V Used it at 300 on figure 11’ s full elevation on my NF and 2/3rds down the ladder! I’m sure a quicker round would do better! great trigger, and proper bolt release, the package works well,
  4. Yep ive got one, very nice bit of kit, the stock is great, and the rifle feels very nice to use, only one issue due to the scope rail not being a proper picatinny rail one has to use separate rings, mono mount wont fit! hence my tier one unimount sitting in cupboard,
  5. Before I order one , anyone using one? if so thoughts please , don’t reply to the thread if you’ve just read about one ! I can do that, feed back from actual ownership only ! cheers
  6. Lordy don’t you just love these threads! I also love bikes , did seriously consider getting another, but alas like the Roads I’m not getting any younger, plus had a total knee replacement back in March, I can walk ok but I’d never be able to half have a chance holding even a lightweight bike up now ! as you say son “ the joys of getting old ! “ lol
  7. 😚 used to be Smiles to the gallon ! alas living here in Kent that’s no longer true, housing developments all around me have brought in thousands of people and cars so the roads are rammed 90% of the year , both my local Clay shoots have now gone due to this , old cars and modern fuel don’t really mix so being stuck in jams is no fun at all ! such a shame , used to be nice here Ces’t la vie
  8. Montana , we cant have Rosco's but we can still just about have these! My 71' RT
  9. Having been a pistol shooter from 80' till the ban, ive not bothered with such odd ball types of firearms, i never touched coal burners then and would'nt now! im only thinking of a Long 44 now, just thought it may add a bit of fun at 100 yards, plus they are cheap to feed, if its going to be a mission, sod it, but one can ask! ive just had the new brief for Lydd early next month, good grief what a drama! im committed now so will attend, but cant help but think this may well be a one off! As the main reason for shooting there was one could use HME stuff with little or no drama, that's not the case now! so i'l just see how it goes,
  10. Cool cheers I’ll run it past my club officials next year We’re back on Lydd on the 16th of Jan think it’s going to be interesting!
  11. Brilliant idea! shame no one’s looking to do something like this in Kent ! absolutely dire here , plus both my clay shooting venues have closed due to housing developments garden of England I think not! best of luck with your endeavour
  12. Lol yeah had one , wasn’t overly impressed, prefer an H5 , which I sold with my 7mm awhile back , one of many of my mistakes! ces’t la vie ,,,,
  13. I’ve got a AX in 308 With tac brake will get a bigger MK3 early next year so the mod will be lightly used on the magnum
  14. Cool cheers son thats what I wanted to her from someone who actually uses the stuff, I’m looking at buying a second AX next year and it would be nice to keep it all the same,
  15. Probably been asked before , but anyone actually using one and are they worth the extra cost?? and what sort of lifespan do they have??
  16. cool , yeah i contacted DM, about a 308, been told ive got to wait till mid 22 ! still it gives me time to save up!
  17. I’m curious, how does the side cocker work with the case kicker still in place ?? can you put a pic up with it fitted please
  18. More confusuion! we regularly use 338's 416's 45-70 45,44,357 blah blah..................... Lydd do the same? a Calibre limit is never mentioned ? just the HME limit, and MV's over 3200, so no HMR's or 22-250's and such....................... seems as ever its a lottery According to my boss Lydd members use Cap And ball stuff to! Maybe its different down here, Hythe also has a Clay Pigeon layout and target Shotgun! some what larger than 30cal!
  19. Can any body tell me if it’s ok to use LBP’s on military ranges run by Landmark?? getting mixed messages! my boss is a member of Lydd and they do, my club official’s say you can’t !! confusued !
  20. I was at Hythe that day, from all accounts the club started shooting before the RO had signed on, a lesson to all ! Dont know what club was involved? it was busy with a few clubs in attendance........................
  21. I’ve recently brought one of theses , 308 Tikka Arctic purely for using irons what a absolutely banger ! love it put a whole new aspect of just plinking fun, 300 is my limit and I have to keep blinking to see the front sight !
  22. There's no production for or at the UK at this time........................ Best of luck with your orders 😄
