Shooting holiday in the US/Europe.

Hi, now I've shot out to one mile the UK I want to try to go further..  So I can either buy myself a Cheytec plus glass, new dies and a big press, develop a load etc.. then try and find somewhere in the UK to shoot it..  lets say £10K.

Or I fly to somewhere in US or maybe Europe, hire a gun, and shoot into sand backstops, (not heather!) scratch the itch and retire to the beach bar, ) not many of thoese in Eskdalemuir or Orion)  Has anyone done anything similar?

What calibre were you using to a mile.?

What targets were you shooting at.?

What size..?

300PRC.. With Andrew Venables in Mid Wales, shooting at Steel pigs.

If you have the means then fly to Denver, hire car and head south to New Mexico and visit the Whittington Centre near Raton

This is the NRA largest range and has hosted KO2M in the past

I know you can hire weapons to use there

 

May be worth exploring

 

There are some places near Las Vegas that hire 50 cals but I’m not sure of how far one is able to shoot

I've been to the a couple of ranges near Vegas, I used to go there ever year for a trade show. The ones I went to seemed to be geared towards the first time "tourist" shooter.
