That was one of the many issues I had with the creed,it only had a short barrel so couldn’t get the speed with copper. My tube is currently 22" to the action face(It had a trim from 30) didn't loose anything like the speed anticipated(i gained most of it back with a powder change)

I was shooting 600yds snaps and 3 blew up during the coarse of fire.. It was a cold morning and they were doing 2770fps according to my bal cal.. Stopped using them after as it cost me too many points. I've used 100s of 180gr berger hybrids since and no issues.. I heard some folk were getting this on the early batches, ive yet to see so far 🙂

I didn't think they'd be going fast enough to blow up.. I blew up 3 in my 7mm saum but they were doing nearly 3000fps

No i deer
The ELDM's have a tenancy to blow up.. Possibly the jackets are too thin.. There's alot if info on accurate shooter about them blowing up.. The 6.5 cal bullets can aswell.. Lots of shooters have experienced it.. I know some personally.. Here's a video from somewhere in the US 18475957_295468850903196_474170011590590464_n.mp4

Matt234
I'm getting good results with N150 & 150gr ELD-X in my tikka T3 with a custom barrel the picture below is a four shot group I shot the other day!
No i deer
Nice group. The lightest bullet I've used is 162grs

No i deer
I fired around 900 through before my 284 blew one.. Trouble was I blew up 3 during a 600yds snaps match.. 3 nice central shots out of 4 and a blank target.. I was baffled from the firing point why a marker was missing. Norman Clark was marking my targets and got another club member marking in the next lane too look for the missing bullet holes.. They too found it strange that i was missing a shot.. I spoke to them when they got back from butt duty

No i deer
With what bullet Dave..? 162gr eldx or a 180gr ELDM..?? Your 7mm saum could blow either of them if fired in quick succession.. Slow fire with small strings may not see a blow up. Depending on the conditions.. Wind dependant I probably fire the 4 shots on each exposure in 25 seconds. The last exposure is 20 seconds. 24 shots altogether.. 4 siters and 20 to count.. 6 exposures of 4 fig11s.. One shot on each fig11

One shot on each fig11 162’s but going to also try 180’s I haven’t decided which to use yet. The rifle has previously shot 180gr bergers. I’ve finally managed to pick up a kg if N560. I’m not planning on any snap shooting. I’ve got a use in mind that many won’t agree with 😜
No i deer
Why N560..? N165 is really good in the saum. If I remember rightly I had the 162gr amaxs doing over 3000fps in my first saum barrel on H1000. A 28 inch barrel I think.. I've still got it

I came across the 7 SAUM reloading topic on snipershide. n560 showed some pretty great results and I found some in stock. It’s worth a go. They absolutely trump the 6.5’s and I can’t wait to get mine up and running. It’s been through 4 people now so no idea if the barrel is going to shoot or it’s toast. One thing is for sure I’ll be having another 7 SAUM barrel put on it if it is.
Derekhogg
I certainly don’t mind folk commenting on different 7mm’s it’s good info. I really like my 7mm rem mag but it’s a sitting in a spot rifle and gets heavy for humfing round, that’s why I’m building a light weight .284 because I like the 7mm bullet but just fancied something a bit different than I already have.
