shotgunner
Hi can anyone shed some light (pardon the pun ) which is the best 18650 batteries (flat top )to use in a nv scope, thanks in advance
fizzbangwhallop
Best advice is to buy from a reputable supplier as there are loads of fakes (and horror stories) out there…. and don’t buy anything with ‘fire’ in the name! I used to use Torchy on eBay under his username big_f_d_d but see he’s no longer listing anything but there is another seller also in Glasgow selling them having done a search on ‘torchy’ So I now use Ecolux for batteries… posted this on the SD a couple of years ago but the discount code was still valid when I used it a couple of months ago.. “Ecolux trade under 3 websites, the one above and ecoluxbatteries.co.uk and ampsplus.co.uk- 10% discount code is AMPS+5. Worth looking at for genuine chargers too.... loads of fakes out there. “ You’re looking for ones at 5amps… the higher 20amp cells are designed for vaping. Fogstar are another company with a good reputation although I’ve not used them. Cheers Fizz
fizzbangwhallop
According to the thread on SD Torchy now has a website… https://www.torchy.co.uk
Geezedtee
Just been on Ampsplus.co.uk and all 18650 batteries are out of stock.
phoenix
Buy from Torchy or Fogstar The Ecolux/Ampsplus site has been showing no stock on every item for a few weeks now 5 amp rated batteries are fine for an NV scope. The 10 amp/ 20 amp/30 amp etc batteries tend to be more expensive and have lower capacities This is probably the best "bang for your buck" 18650 on the Fogstar site https://www.fogstar.co.uk/collections/18650-batteries/products/samsung-35e-18650-battery If you don't already have a charger, then I recommend Nitecore i4 or D4 Cheers Bruce
