Steel Target Options

Recommended Posts

There are lots of vendors offering Steel Targets these days but I do have a favourite, Hugh Nevin of The Steel Target Company makes some great freestanding models that are easy to set up and deploy. Will be getting some practice in tomorrow on these two.

Very nice them . Ours have had lots of abuse upto 338 lap mag no probs. Also like Toms targets and got a few bh targets for the air rifle . Don’t try rimfire s on these you’ll end up with holes . Rimfire hmr will easy go through 3mm steel or aluminium 5mm at 80 yards. 223 punches holes in 10 mm standard steel at 100 .
IT HAS TO BE HARDENED STEEL!!!

enjoy your play time

Cheers

20230610_185104.thumb.jpg.6210261bcc8a59719bee9ef243ea9169.jpgMy Hardox AR500 target has been in for a re-weld twice now..

This time I shot a hole clean through.

5 shots in the same hole ish with 7mm saum and 7mm 270 took its tole on it..

I had legs welded on it to make it easy to deploy and its just a backstop.

I've had the legs welded the other way around this time to use the opposite end...

I dony think there's much life left in it..

It's used at 100yds most of the time.
